Very clean, property was undergoing complete refurbishing inside and out. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Laundry washer was out of service. and property is out by itself away from everything. Breakfast both days was biscuits and gravy, as they were out of eggs which was disappointing. I would probably want to stay at a location closer to shopping and amenities.

The hotel was under construction which I did not know before. The 3rd floor hallway was stripped of wallpaper. The room numbers were sitting on the floor. All of that would have been ok but they should have vacuumed the floor before accepting guests to that floor. Also our room had ants.

Acceptable but in need of work
Our stay was acceptable. The room was well appointed except there was no phone available and it was in obvious need of finishing. There was mold on the wall paper in the bathroom which was concerning and could be due to the fact that there was no exhause fan. The TV kept disconnecting itself. The hotel was clean for the most part though which was nice. The breakfast people need to restock better though as several items were out each morning regardless of the time we joined. Overall it was acceptable for the price point but little things like phones, tv and bathroom make the experience one to rate it higher.

Drive further to stay somewhere else
Very old, stains on bedding, toilet lid broken, toilet clogged. There was never anyone at the desk. I’d expect better from a $60/night motel, and I paid over $170 a night here. As a pro: it was very quiet.

Good, Comfortable Stay
The staff was nice and accommodating. The room was in good shape. The shower drained poorly, however. The breakfast worker was an hour late. The coffee was not made nor breakfast set up until around 7a. The coffee I put in my cup at about 6:45 was cold and was from the day before. I used the microwave to heat it up and drank it anyway. There is some reno going on, but it was all orderly. One very positive thing was the quietness. The location is really good.

Great for an overnight
Hotel was clean though clearly in the middle of renovations. Not anything that would bother us. The bed was big and soft. Bathroom well stocked. Breakfast was hot and offered many options.

We drove 4 hours for this??? Well, ya we did...
I do think they were updating the building, there were rolls of carpet across from the front desk and a couple old dressers laying on their side in the hall way just down from our room so something was going on. However, we did have a phone in the room but it didn't work, it took a couple minutes to figure out how to get the shower to run, we did have GREAT water pressure though. There also was NO exhaust fan in the bathroom so you better shave before you shower. I was surprised but not too disappointed that you aren't using tall toilets, us old folks like that. We also only got one roll of TP, my Wife is a real TP user so we notice that. Hmmm, what else. The breakfast was OK, I'm not a friend of instant eggs or chicken sausage but you did have really good coffee and Otis Spunkmier muffins. I don't think you can get much better that Otis's muffins and cookies. I was down in that area 50 years ago when my sister was attending Asbury and was amazed how much has changed with the college and town itself, I know there is a lot of new stuff there and more coming and CILS was picked because of it's current out of town setting which will be changing i'm sure. We went down there to go to the Gold Flame Dicast store, and Highbridge. I might be back in a couple years, it would be nice if you could lower prices just a little.

Work needed
Hotel was better being renovated however our room appeared to have been finished. Water would not drain out of the sink very quickly. Handle on shower was loose and felt like it could fall off. One tile by shower floor was loose and fell off.

Horrible
The stay was horrible. The water was cold the next morning for showers and we had 4 people that needed showers. Also the tv was hard to get on, we had to reboot all equipment. The breakfast was very slim in variety. The bed spreads had stains. The washer and dryer was down. The front desk person was on outside smoking and he seen me waiting to be seen when we first got in. He continued to smoke. Someone hung up on me when I called for rates. Overall l bad experience, will never stay again.

Incredibly clean, it appears to be a new hotel. Some work is ongoing, could be a remodel. Service was meh but we liked our room, the location was good, the price was great, and breakfast was decent.

Good- room was nice and clean, AC was cold. Clerk was efficient and nice. Bad- hotel being renovated, so walls and baseboards not in best shape. Only working ice machine on end of 2nd floor, soda machines empty. Breakfast was terrible, gravy was a pan of thin milk substance, no sausage in it, biscuits ice cold, eggs cold.

Got here and immediately had to look for somewhere else to stay. Stains on the beds, walls, and door. Bugs in the bed. Weird smells from the carpet. Overall nasty.
