The pictures posted of the home gave the perception of an older home with charm. Before we arrived we arrived I had to contact the host for check-in instructions. I sent a message through the app and did not get a response. We tried not to panic but we were less than an 2 hours away and very tired from driving. After 30 minutes I called and left a voicemail. The host called back shortly after voicemail and text the check-in instructions. After arriving we were able to get my 2 grandkids in the house and out luggage. I text and called just once inside to ask about the tv and remote, no response. I began to noticed the cob webs in several areas of the home. We then turned on the heat and wasp begin to fly out of the kitchen vent. The tub was either stained or dirty. We didn’t have access to a washer/dryer which was difficult due to how wet the floor got when we showered. There are also several cracks in the walls and one questionable step on the stairs. There is also a door that leads under the house that did not have a lock. We booked the home for 3 days but immediately left the following morning. We had to pay for a hotel since the host was non responsive and VRBO customer service representative was not very helpful.
