No sheets and pillowcases no towels, doonas are stained with wee, and pillows were old and dirty. Be careful this place is cheaper than others but really not worth the savings!!!! Photos are deceiving.

First the positive: this hotel is in a very quiet area not far from Kristiansand. It's great if you're on a budget and looking for something as a rest point at the beginning or end of a Norway adventure. In my case, the weather had gone bad and I was waiting on the delayed Fjord Line ferry so as to return to Denmark. My room was clean and the property is pet friendly, which was a big plus for me and my dog! But...this is an older hotel that seems to be going through a slow renovation. There was only one person on duty during my two night stay, maybe the owner or a full-time manager. Regardless, he was very nice and helpful and resolved the couple of issues I had. There is no in-room heating; you may have to request a heater (at no cost) if the weather is cold. In summary, if you need basic lodging, the price is right as you will often pay more for a simple no-frills bungalow or campsite elsewhere in Norway.

Through a failure in the programming on the expedia.com web side I was charged double for the motel. I noticed it a week later on my bank account. I informed expedia support about this issue. They contacted the employee of the motel. To my surprise, they refused to transfer my extra payment back. I can only say it is a poor betray. I wonder that expedia service accepted it as a normal procedure. No more Sorlandet motel and no more expedia.

Dårlig renhold, støv og bøss i sofaer og mellom madrasser. Gamle og veldig flekkete madrasser. En stekeplate på kjøkkenet som var full av gammelt fett. Uggen lukt på badet. Lå noe frossent kjøtt i fryseboks. Taklysene virket ikke (var frakoblet fikk vi vite). Bør tas tak i om det fortsatt skal være i drift, en skikkelig rundvask og utskiftning av det som trengs…

Kun billig og selv det var dyrt
Her er det "billig" å bo. Jeg ville nok ha betalt mindre hvis jeg hadde sett hvor dårlig vedlikeholdt bygget og rommene er. Dyner og pute var flekkete. Madrassen hadde flekker. Hvis rommene kom med sengetøy hadde jeg ikke reagert på dette. Men de legger ikke på sengetøy uten at du betaler 100,- pr. sett. Noe som øker prisen på rommet ganske mye. Dårlig - belysning - ventilering på soverom og bad - lydisolering Skittent teppe på rommet. Badet hadde ikke ventilasjonssystem, kun passiv luftventil uten noe særlig trekk. På veggene var muggen godt synlig. Ingen som står i resepsjonen, du må ringe etter personale. Når folk reiser tidligere enn du så hører du alt de gjør, både fottrinn i gangen og dører som lukker virker bedre enn min egen vekkerklokke. En positiv ting vi kan trekke frem - stedet ligger langs den gamle hovedveien som nå er en rolig lokalvei. Dvs lite trafikk og egentlig en stillhet som var ganske så behagelig på dagtid og deilig på nattestid. Bensinstasjonen rett bortenfor var også den billigste i Kristiansandsområdet.

Tepper i gang var påfallende skitne, vinduer på rom var skitne. Rommet luktet.Taklys fungerte ikke, gamle dyner og puter. Ingen tilgang til kaffe/te/ drikke, TV eller hårføner. Ikke noe sjampo på bad, svært bråkete når andre skrudde på kran.

Ventet 1 time før resepsjonen ble betjent selv om vi kom i resepsjonens åpningstid. Mange hadde ventet lengre. Fikk ingen unnskyldning. Skittent, lytt, mye lyd fra bilveien utenfor, vond lukt, røyk seiv inn fra balkongene ved siden av og de som bodde under. Husk eget sengetøy/håndklær.
