Upon checking in we were greeted by a woman who stated “I am so glad you made it, management was going to cancel your reservation “
I was confused because per our reservation, we were to pay upon check in. She told us that they tried to authorize our stay by running our cc prior to us arriving, and since I wasn’t paying attention, the CVV was incorrect and the charge was declined. (We always get notified if something is wrong with our cc, whether it be fraud alert, declined, etc, and we never once received any of that. ) Then she asked if we had been called. I confirmed with her that no, we had not received a call from the property about the issue. She said she would pass that along.
The last communication was at noon when they told us that our cc had been declined, and I replied that our arrangement was to pay at the property and we would take care of it when we got there. She told us they attempted to charge our card two additional times, even after receiving a message stating that was on record.
The pool was lovely- warm and clean.
The hotel room upon first glance is great, however worn down and in need of an update and some definite soundproofing.
You can hear the bathroom fans from the floor below as they vibrate your floor, and subtle walking from the floor above sounds like a stampede.
The outlets and lamps next to the bed didn’t work, and the pleather chairs were peeling and in need of being redone or replaced.
Great access to the beach however…
