Really disappointed
I want to be fair and acknowledge that some of what happened was not their fault, but the way Jana handled this situation was really disappointing. I booked to stay here for 4 and a half weeks and had to leave due to mice activity in the kitchen and living room. I messaged Jana about this as soon as it happened and she sent her husband to put down traps. After he left the mice activity escalated. As I had told them at the time, I was not upset but needed to leave to feel safe. They returned the next day to leave more traps and I packed my things to leave. In a discussion with Aaron he said that they would make things right. It cost me a LOT of money to leave 6 days early and my dog has been very sick since we left which will cost me more. When I messaged Jana about a refund she told me that they would not refund me because of their cancellation policy. I didn’t cancel or adjust the days of my trip. She did that, and I did not ask her to. After speaking with customer service, they said they could not help because she did that. Her message also blamed me for a mechanical error to her hot tub and she said that I did not clean up after my dog, which was not true as her husband had witnessed me cleaning. When I left I even offered to pay more for cleaning since I left quickly and because I thought they were going to refund for the days. I feel like I was really fair about the whole thing but now I am the only one paying for what happened.
