Hotel Alegria is a very nice boutique hotel that is on a quiet neighborhood but easy access to the center parts of Lisbon. The guest rooms are nicely appointed and the breakfasts are excellent. The only thing I could think of negative is the potential noise from the floor above since the floor is not quite sound proof. On one of the nights I stayed there, there was one night when the guest above walked heavily in the middle of the night and the noise from there is quite obvious that affected my sleep.

Exquisite hotel!
Hotel Alegria is a tastefully decorated boutique hotel. The foyer and breakfast rooms show good taste and attention to detail. Although I arrived late, I was treated very kindly and checkin was smooth and easy. My room was beautiful and large and everrything was much better than I expected. It was more like a 4 star than a 3 star hotel. The continental breakfast was delicious with a wide choice to suit all tastes. The hotel is located in a quiet area but just around the corner from the Avenue de la Liberdad where you can find all the designer stores. In the other direction it is about a 20 minute interesting walk to Barrio Alto where you can stroll through the streets and discover the quirky nature of Lisbon. I was only there for two and a half days but my stay there was wonderful! I will be back!

A jewel box hotel
This is a beautiful little hotel right on a delightful park and is centrally located. My room was a beautiful sunlit retreat that had a very large, functional bathroom and was very quiet. When I come back to Lisbon, I will most certainly stay here again. Oh! Breakfast was awesome and the staff are lovely.

Oasis in the city
Our stay was a highlight of our trip to Lisbon. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and the service outstanding. The hotel reminded me of a boutique hotel in France with the lovely antiques and fresh cut flowers in the public spaces and charming hard wood floors throughout. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of foods. They would even make eggs to order-a rarity in Europe. We were fortunate enough to have excellent weather so we took advantage of the park and the kiosk serving light refreshments. The live music on Friday night in the park was a perfect way to complete our stay at the Alegria. We would definitely book with them again if our travels bring us back to Lisbon.

The Best breakfast anywhere!!!…David was wonderful taking and showing us which side of the subway to go on to get where we were going one morning…Very accommodating motel and people! Would love some American coffee in the room! Easy to get around town !
