Lovely hotel, very smart and clean and helpful staff, good breafsst buffet with lots of options. The pool spa area is lovely but not masive, was fine for us as we stayed off season but imagine it would get very busy peak season, shame rooftop bar was closed in november, but good views from bar on 12th floor. The very fancy shops are 5 mins away, but centre of town is more like 20-35 mins away if like me you like a walk, if not bus/metro within 5-7mins so convenient if not the closest. Good sections of bars and restaurants about 10-15 mins away walking.

Hotel is in a good location but is dated and tired inside. We also had a few issues with service eg breakfast items not being replenished at breakfast, coffee in room not being replenished, late room cleaning and my other half having to chase three times for a surprise cake to arrive that he had arranged. Not the service of a 5* hotel

Inflexible cancellation policy
Due to catastrophic weather in my area, I was not able to travel. I contacted the hotel to rebook but was told the staff would not be available until the next day (5 hour time difference). When we finally reached the hotel, I was told that there were no available rooms for rebooking and that the hotel would not refund me due to their strict cancellation policy. It should be noted that to date more than 70 people have died due to the hurricane that delayed my flight. I would have been happy to rebook my stay at any other time (even by one day) if the hotel was willing to work with me.

This is the second time we stayed at the Altis Grand Hotel, we enjoyed it very much! Friendly and professional staff, nice and clean rooms, good breakfast. It's located in the middle of everything, walking distance to hop on hop off buses/tours, restaurants and shops. Would really recommend it 👍

Stayed here due a cancelled flight. Initially rang the hotel shortly after making the booking and the night receptionist wasn’t initially very helpful. Room was very clean. Hotel decor quite dated.
