Absolutely love this hotel! It's in a more private area in the very busy area. Alfama has rich culture and beautiful sceneries! A lot of amazing cafe and restaurants. You have to experience the FADO restaurants. Just be aware bring cash. We have great time in this hotel. The lobby staffs were super friendly and helpful! Especially thanks to Fabio and Fatima (apologies if I spell the name wrong). I got a lot of great advices from them. Great complimentary drinks! Love the cappuccino and hot chocolate! The breakfast was good! Love relaxing in the courtyard. They make check in and out very smoothly. Can't thank you all enough! Definitely recommend this hotel! ❤️❤️❤️

Good stay at Hotel Convento do Salvado
Our only suggestion is better signage so people could find the hotel easier. Our cab dropped us off and said the hotel is nearby. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. We had a 2 story room with bedroom upstairs and bathroom downstairs. A bit hard to go downstairs at night.

A very nice, bare bones place to stay in the middle of the Alfama. The staff is incredibly helpful, the breakfast is a high-quality European continental breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage as well. The location is perfect for walking around a really historic part of Lisbon, just remember that it is quite hilly. The hotel is also close to the cruise terminal, so it is a good choice to spend a few days before you leave on your cruise.

A good find
Finding it is a challenge but once you’re there it’s great. Accessible by foot to old town as well as tourist area - be ready for lots of hills. Very friendly staff with a good breakfast daily. Our deluxe room had upstairs bedroom and downstairs bath.

The staff is very helpful and kind. One staff mrmber, Fatima Silva, went out of her way to verify a restaurant we wanted to visit was open. The entire staff reflected the best in customer service. I’ll return to this place.

Great propery in a quiet area. Entrance is located in an alley area down a hill. If coming from airport or train, you might want to take an official taxi and not Uber or similar. The road has a barrier that only residents or taxis have permission on. It is a steep hill so you might want to.get a Taxi instead if you are hauling luggage.

I forgot how loud Alfama can be. it’s been a few years. Hotel is very nice, amazing water pressure, but the drain is very slow and the basin overflows all over the bathroom.

Overall nice though we had a duplex room that looked a lot bigger in the pics and had no dividing door between the two rooms. The lane the hotel is down is a bit quiet so Im not sure if I’d feel safe coming back alone at night. Nice beds and very clean.

I recommend super clean and charitable purpose.
Extremely well located venue in the heart of historic Alfama. 13th century building totally refurbished. All brand new and spotless. Room small but sufficient and hyper clean. Nice staff. Nice amenities, lounge area, infused waters… very calm. Also linked to a charitable operation.
