The staff at Pestana Rua Augusta are fantastic. We noted in our reservation we were coming for a special birthday trip. After we checked in the staff delivered a bottle of champagne and a chocolate cake board for us to share. The check-in staff were also great and accommodating. The lobby and facility is clean and welcoming. Rooms are spacious and clean. We were surprised that the busy and bustling street wasn’t too loud from our corner first floor room. The glass bathroom door is a bit of an odd choice but is fine if you’re traveling as a couple. We would recommend and would stay here again if we are back in Lisbon.

Amazing location, staff and room! I couldn’t imagine a better experience. The location is central to everything you would want to do, including the metro which will bring you to places like Sintra and Cascais which are too far to walk. Rooms are clean and the AC is great (which sounds silly, but I’ve had experiences where the room won’t get under 70 degrees F.) The staff is accommodating and helpful. Excellent!

You can never go wrong with a Pestana name brand. The hotel located on Rua Augusta was the perfect place and location for a weekend getaway in Lisbon.

I stayed at the Pestana Rua Augusta from 9/23 to 9/28. It was exactly as I imagined. Clean, contemporary, and the staff was amazing and paid exquisite attention to detail. The hotel is near the Arch and offered much! All kinds of transportation options: Tram, trolley, bus, Tuk Tuk, and taxis. Traveling alone I felt safe and appreciated the navigational options. Thank you Pestana for make my first trip to Lisbon memorable.

I would give this hotel 2 star
This hotel should absolutely not get 4 stars. Compared to other 4 star hotels in Lisbon Ive stayed I would give it 2 stars. The check in service was terrible, confusing and disorganized. There was no welcome smile to greet us. There are two people standing behind a bar desk who don't seem to even pretend to be nice. That's the only service you get during the whole stay. No one to help with luggage or no concierge to help with recommendations . The same two people do everything. No wonder they are disinterested in the guests. You may as well be staying in an apartment . Be aware that breakfast is not included. We had a corner room which had no cupboard space, only hanging space with 6 hangers and I felt we were camping in an apartment as we had to keep our clothes in our suitcases. Side bed tables are impractical for a hotel stay .Beds were comfortable. Location was excellent but very busy and noisy almost all day and night, if you open the windows for fresh air. The nearby streets were closed off so ubers and taxis cant come to the hotel which is very inconvenient. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. There are really far better ones for the same price in Lisbon. I chose it because of its good recommendations .
