Lake Ogontz
This is a rustic camp on a private small lake set up for weddings, music and dance events; with separate hotel quality apartment rentals as well as "Adironack Cabins" ( roof with one solid wall and the other three either screened or open) . It offers swimming, kayaking, conoeing, SUP; tennis; grounds for field sports; family style food service. A perfect palace for a low key outdoor getaway. Don't expect laundry or room service. Do expect eating outside on a deck and friendly/gracious management. Most staff are young and have a long family history of association with the camp. The camp has been around since 1923 so facilities are older but nicely functional . One surprise is new symphony hall which really should be the summer home of city symphony.

Didn’t want to leave!!!
The best get away especially for a mom of three teenagers who tend to spend more time on electronics than with their mother. Lol. This way they were forced to make memories with me. Drive in and the view is breathtaking. All the cabins so rustic, quaint, and inviting. Staff was exceptionally friendly as well as helpful. Entering Cabin 9, they had it all set up for us with screens (which I wasn’t expecting but super relieved, and very grateful) 4 beds, a dresser, 2 nightstands, and a small table with chairs. Open closets, hangers, shelving, and an outlet! (Also unexpected, but again, extremely thankful) Our favorite thing aside from the view, and the kayaks, and exploring.... was reading all the names and the years they were there written all over the walls, and ceiling. The kids are still saying “ yeah brown”, or “yeah green!” Which we assumed were their team colors back then. It just was the most unique, and most amazing experience. I truly didn’t want to leave, and neither did the kids! We definitely plan on coming back before the summer ends. ❤️

Fun place to hang out. Guest Service is excellent.
Great guest service. Very accommodating. Misleading Description online. It says each cabin has a bathroom. It's one community bathroom for most cabins close to it but that's okay. Bathroom area is clean. Free canoes and kayaks to use!
