Built in 1680, this countryside vacation cottage is located in the downtown of Livarot, the birthplace of Livarot cheese. Park your car and relax, as everything you need is within walking distance. Come to relax and enjoy the authentic flavors of Normandy.

Located just 19km (20 min by car) from the SNCF Gare de Lisieux, visiting from Paris is possible.

Spend a couple hours at the E. Graindorge Fromagerie, taking a free self-guided tour of the cheese factory, finishing with a complimentary cheese tasting at the end of the tour in the gift shop. During the summer months, the cheese bar is open with cafe seating for additional food and drink options.

Take a self-guided historic walking tour of the city and see sights such as the original steam engine that provided the electricity for the cheese factories and the city.

If nature is more to your liking, take the paved greenbelt by foot or by bike for as many kilometers as you would like.

By car, explore the Normandy coast to see such places as Honfleur, Deauville, Trouville and the landing beaches. Many museums are available to learn more about the history of D-Day.

YOUR COTTAGE:

Your entrance to the property is a private gate to the garden with two large steps. The entrance to your cottage has two steps and is located on the ground floor. Inside, you will find an eat-in kitchen, a salon/living room, a toilet room, and bathroom with tub/shower combo. A washing machine is provided in the bathroom, along with a drying rack, iron, and distilled water.

The kitchen is complete with stovetop, oven, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, Senseo espresso machine, french press, toaster, and electric kettle. Cooking essentials such as pots, saucepans, frying pans, casseroles, baking sheet are included. Plates, bowls, cups, mugs and utensils.

The salon/living room is furnished with a double sleeper sofa (140cm x 190cm), coffee table, and an upholstered chair. The flat screen television is a Google Chromecast Smart TV. Services such as Netflix, Disney+, etc are accessible through your existing subscriptions plans, or you have free access to France TV app. We do not have an antenna for traditional television channels at this time.

Upstairs is a large bedroom with a double bed (140cm x 190cm) and a single bed (120cm x 190cm), linens and pillows included. A large armoire and a beautiful decorative (not-functional) fireplace decorate the space. A small flat screen television is equipped with Google Chromecast for Smart TV features.

Wi-fi is included. A Wi-fi speed test has diagnosed the speed as "Super Fast - 74.9 Mbps"

The enclosed garden is appointed with a barbecue (please supply your own wood coal), outdoor dining table with chairs and umbrella (seasonal).

Free public parking is available nearby at several city parking lots, including near the city hall/tourist office/post office or the stadium/campground.
