I’ve stayed here many times over the years, but the overall experience seems to get a little worse every time. The room I was first given smelt horrendously of sick. The type of sick smell when someone has drank too much. I went to reception to ask for a change. The receptionist was very pleasant and prompt in swapping my room, but said “oh we had a big Christmas party last night”….. This is no excuse. In my second room there was a finger nail by the sink. If was very obvious! The curtains didn’t close and the carpet was dirty.

Rooms are really good, very clean and tidy. No pool, Gym at the hotel need to relay on club next to hotel however most of club facilities are down until spring. If you opt dinner there is a small menu to choose from. Overall okay to stay. Few room have windows facing a heritage museum with old Aeroplanes can be viewed.

Second stay in 6weeks, this time did not seem as good. Bedroom was really cold when we arrived . No biscuits on tea tray like first time and sink in the bathroom was blocked .

Hotel was decent, old but decent, didn’t hear any noise, spacious room and comfortable bed. Check in was a while, only one person at the desk, when I went to request a taxi for the morning, I was standing at the reception while the staff member was on his phone, he didn’t even notice me for a few minutes. The staff member at the restaurant was a very nice guy however he had too many tasks given to him so we were waiting about 15 minutes, even just to look at the menu, food was decent enough but a bit pricey for what it was. Mac & cheese was around £17. Also do not trust any taxi service in Liverpool whatsoever twice I tried to get a taxi it took an hour and 10 minutes after around 5 phone calls. The second time I asked the hotel to book me a taxi for 5:30 AM. The taxi did not arrive until 6 AM.. Maybe Uber will be better. I don’t know.

Stayed here many times. It was an airport when I was a child so the excitement still remains. Rooms are spacious and I love the decor. Staff are friendly and helpful, what’s not to like!

Overnight stay
Friendly staff. Charge of £6 per night for parking which wasn’t there on previous visit, think this is shocking for a hotel. Bar area freezing cold, no atmosphere, limited food menu. Intended to eat there but had one drink and left to go over the road. Room comfortable.
