Health hazard squalid and misrepresented online
Mouse droppings throughout the bedrooms and home, mildewed shower curtains and filthy tubs, nasty old stained carpets that were not even vacuumed with debris, bifold doors off hinges, hundreds of cigarette butts outside the front door is just the short version of this disgustingly FOUL property. Linens and towels on beds were very worn and stained, not as depicted in listing. The “clean” linens and towels were stored on the ground in an outdoor shed. The door to the shed was wide open to the elements and critters, when we arrived. We reached out to the host directly with no response until we called VRBO and they discussed with host. After numerous requests, host refused to call and discuss by phone. Host communicated through VRBO messaging slowly, often hours apart and disagreed, maintaining that this would require minimal cleaning/touch up. At 11:00 in the evening we were told by VRBO that cleaners were there working on the property per their communication with host. Considering how late it was; we went back to the property to see if this in fact was true. It was NOT TRUE, there were no cleaners at the property.
Due to the condition of the property, health hazard of rodents and mold, and misrepresentation of pictures, we had to find other accommodations last minute, in the dark!!
After all of this the OWNER REFUSED TO REFUND.
Worst VRBO experience we have ever had and we have been using VRBO for 25 years and 3 of us are hosts ourselves of our own properties.
