The Outpost Lodge is a wonderful 4 bedroom Vacation Rental near the Hocking Hills that can accommodate up to 12 guests! It has 3 levels of living space, wrap-around decks, a custom-built fire ring area, and an upper-level master suite with full bath and private balcony. It is located just 1.5 miles from Old Man's Cave and in an area of other rentals within walking distance.

4th of July family trip
The facility was clean and beautiful. It rained and there were 2 leaks in the ceiling, which we had to place bowls and towels to dry up. We paid a housekeeping fee, but were still expected to empty trash :( Would've preferred a later check out time.

Perfect location for us.
Lovely home ,nice layout, enjoyed the fireplace and the porch, fire pit and extra yard area is great for kids easy location to Hocking hills State Park or Downtown . Enjoyed the secluded feel and the mature trees surrounding the house.

Listing is as pictured. It was a beautiful snow covered weekend. Fireplace was enjoyed after snowman building. Hot tub was clean and felt great even in the freezing temperatures.

Beautiful Home but some rough spots
We enjoyed this home for the most part. It's got a great layout and wonderful porch. The location is super convenient. It was pretty well stocked. The beds were comfortable. It was clean except the carpeting downstairs was really dirty and had food crumbs. Our main complaint was the lighting. This house is DARK. I mean, we had to bring every available lamp into the greatroom area. The kitchen was also dark. Sounds like a dumb complaint but it really bothered all of us. Hard to play games at the table. Also, the hot tub controls have been damaged and you cannot control the temp. It's really hot, but functional.

Don’t be mislead by the pics
The location is great but we were charged an outrageous price for the Labor Day weekend thinking we were getting the cabin shown in the pics but boy were we wrong!!! The deck is falling apart with multiple rotted holes, a loose railing, and numerous warped and unattached planks. We have service dogs that ended up with several injuries to their paws due to the state of the deck. All the deck chairs and external property are not being maintained. Additionally, the hot tub was not functioning. It has been drained more than half of its water and all the pieces were removed. Inside the hardwood floors are in serious disrepair with major chunks missing causing socks to get snagged. The bed, pillow, sheets and towels are extremely cheap! We had the worst nights of sleep ever on a vacation!! Our fitted sheets kept coming off the bed while we slept - I’ve never had to make a bed multiple times during the night! The kitchen contained several rusted utensils - so make sure to bring everything you’d need for cooking. No maintenance is being conducted on this property and it is evident!! Don’t be fooled by the pictures - this place isn’t luxury!! We were fooled and our money was stolen!! We booked for 3 nights but only stayed 2 because we had booked activities for those days! Will never use this property again!!

A cabin to remember
We had an amazing time staying in Jennifer’s cabin. This was truly a cabin to remember and had a true western cabin feel. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed. The hot tub was warmed up and ready to go. Jennifer was a great host and very responsive. We had everything we needed to make this a great trip and a cabin we will be sure to return to.

Beautiful!
This property was beautiful and had everything we needed, just perfect for us! It’s location is just a short drive to everything and the scenery is amazing. My only bad rating was I tried communicating with Jen SEVERAL times and not one response. Other than that everything was awesome.

It rained a lot during our three days but we did go to a couple of caves and did some hiking in great secnery and of course the hot tub. You really can get a lot of perople in it. At the house we played a lot of games and made camp fire s'mores, and a lot of visiting, and oh corn hole. We also cooked on the grill and played Monopoly, Euchre, and Uno
