Everything was good, except the heat in the room was a bit too hot. It woke me up at nights as the comforter was thick and it didn't have a thinner sheet.
Bloomsbury is a wonderful area of London. Very neighborhood y. The Bedford Hotel is ideally located, close to Russell Square Tube and lots of restaurants fancy and not.
My room was quiet but overlooked the busy street which was fun to watch. I had a wonder big tub with plenty of hot water. The room was cleaned everyday and all the staff I encountered were friendly and greeted me warmly.
I liked everything except breakfast, but it is just a question of taste. I would like more variety of breads, yogurth in pots, different flavours of jam, etc
Recently refurbished and very centrally located in walking distance to 2 tube stations. The bed was extremely comfortable and the staff were friendly. The only drawback was the closet-sized bathroom, one tiny room with the toilet only and one with the bathtub and sink, which was so small it was difficult to turn around within it. Otherwise, the main room was a decent size for London. I would stay here again.
Wonderful stay! The check in process was quick and the staff was so kind. I was given a well appreciated early check in as I was flying in from far away. The room was spacious enough having in mind it is located in one of the best parts of London. The hotel is well located and the service was great. I just had a bit of problem with the water pressure on the toilette but aside of that was a perfect stay. I would definitely would come back!
This is a very nice hotel in what was for us a perfect location. Our stay was made all the more enjoyable by the friendly and helpful staff, both at the reception desk and at the bar. One word of caution to light sleepers. It’s an old hotel with thin walls. We had the misfortune one night of having a man with a very loud voice talking on the phone until after 1:00 a.m. We stayed at the Bedford a second time at the end of our two weeks in England and had no such problems the second time.
I had a technical problem with processing an email that I needed help with, and it was nighttime. 3 of the female staff basically ignored me, it was thanks to Mr. Tarvo, who was very professional and spent an hour trying and finally succeeding at solving my problem, all while 2 of the female staff spent the same hour complaining about their job, mind you in front of me, a guest.
I commend Mr. Tarvo for his commitment to his guests and above and beyond customer service. Thumbs down to the rest of the reception staff that night
The rooms were very small and there was no air conditioning which made it rather uncomfortable at times. The Staff were friendly and accommodating, but overall the Hotel looks like it could do with a refurbishment.
This is not a fancy hotel, but it’s clean and comfortable. It’s super close to Covent Garden, Piccadilly, Leicester Square, and many West End theatres.
And the price is not bad for a hotel in London!
I will go back.
