During July 2024, we stayed in Room M42. We noticed the arduous path to get to the room and that it was also located adjacent to the service area of the hotel. This prompted a request to change rooms to one that was located off the main elevators. However, the clerk informed us that no rooms were available, but that we might be able to change rooms the next morning. Upon spending the evening in room M42, it became clear that the hotel knowingly rented us a room with inadequacies: the air conditioning did not work, and it appears that two running tabletop fans had been set-up in the room to mask this fact. Throughout the evening, the room temperature was like a sauna with the tabletop fans of little solace. In addition, the shower temperature was scalding hot and could not be lowered, so taking a shower was next to impossible. Other deficiencies included, the vanity light not working properly and the waste bin not opening upon stepping on the pedal. Happily, we were able to change rooms the next day. However, given the above, I asked for (and expected) a refund for the previous night’s stay. The hotel said they would look into the matter and come back with a quick resolution. After sending follow-up emails over the span of 3 weeks, I have not heard back from the hotel, at all. I find this extremely unprofessional and would suggest avoiding this hotel at all costs.

We had a great stay and it was perfect for our trip. Once the room is updated in the renovation then it will be even better. I only wish we could get more of the cool outside air into our room. We didnt spend much time in the room so it was fine though. The staff was wonderful and very helpful!

Super convenient location! Having moved around other areas and seeing we could have potentially booked, im so glad we stayed in the one. 2mins to subway/bus. Quiet, clean street- where one street you have loads of restaurants and activity. The lobby and reception felt upscale and buffet breakfast was great! My one disappointment was the room which seemed to be a basement area and was not like those reflected in the pictures. The room was very small and felt like a dorm. Maybe we got this room because they are still in the upgrade process. We did have ac and everything was very clean and very comfortable - so overall i would stay here again.

As others review mentioned the hotel is under renovation. When booking make sure the room you are booking has Air Conditioning. Not all rooms in the hotel have air conditioner. I called to make sure before booking that they were air conditioner but when checking in we received one without it just a small fan. When explained to the front desk they were very friendly and helpful. They were able change our room for a smaller one with air conditioner. It didn’t have any windows but it was just fine for us. The hotel is great for the price, the lobby and reception are clean and comfortable. They do offer breakfast for additional charge, we didn’t have the opportunity to try it. The hotel is in a very great area with two train stations and buses near by. There is a comercial area two blocks away where you can find many restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping stores for your London souvenirs.

Great neighborhood--big dissapointment
London was the last leg of my Europe 2024 vacation. Unfortunately, Central Park Hotel did not meet the standards of the other hotels I stayed in throughout my vacation. I made my booking through hotels.com and unbeknownst to me, I did not realize that in London (or at least in this hotel), air conditioning is an amenity. When I tried to speak to someone at the front desk about this issue they were simply dismissive about it and told me to take it up with hotels.com because they were not responsible for my misunderstanding. The front desk manager did not even offer any alternatives. The room itself was a reasonable size but, ventilation was poor even with the windows open. The bathroom, which was 5' Wide by 9' Long was uncomfortably small and the air vent which was connected to the air-conditioning system was also not functioning. I have traveled to London dozens of times in the past 30 years and I can assure you, there are definitively better hotels with much better service. I hope that once reconstruction is completed on this property things change, but I will for sure not stay here again.

Hotel was just fine. The website advertises very falsely the quality of the rooms. We were put in a basement room with no windows. Very musty, carpet was pretty gross looking. When I requested to move to a room with windows they said “the rooms not in the basement are so stuffy without AC not worth you moving”. Seems like the choices are bad and worse! Good price, but won’t be staying here again. Would prefer to pay more for a room with a window at the very least.

This hotel is a complete disaster. The staff blatantly lies. They did not honor my booking and instead stuck me in a windowless basement room. Nesh, a staff member, assured me that I would receive a full refund if I canceled my stay, but when I did, they still charged me for one night. He completely lied about the whole situation. The hotel is undergoing renovations, and they cut off the water supply without warning. There are numerous complaints about clogged water and filthy bathrooms. They don't even have air conditioning, and the heat is unbearable when it's above 24 degrees. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel; it’s an absolute nightmare.

There was no warning when booking that the hotel was under construction. I booked a room and when I got there, I was put in a room that looked NOTHING like it was advertised, and it didn’t have AC as advertised. I had to briefly argue with the front desk and she them photos of what I booked, and they moved me to a different room. Apparently all of the photos of are the renovated rooms, but only 2 floors have been renovated. So beware when you book! Also, there was construction and drilling starting at 7am, so if you want a quiet hotel, this isn’t it. The mini fridge in my room wasn’t cold. The hairdryer in my brand new room was broken. Of the 3 lifts, only 1 was working so trying to get down from the top floor took ages. The location was 2 blocks from the underground and many food options. I will not book here again.
