Basic ok for short stay if you are spending time away from hotel
Excellent location in quiet area facing a small park. I had a walking problem and immediately given a ground floor single room which was really appreciated.
Comfy bed..room 7 and completely quiet at night.
Very convenient hotel near St Pancras.
It is located in a quiet street. Friendly staff at the reception all the time.
Simple bedroom but it serves its purpose.
Booked the breakfast, continental, again friendly staff bringing you freshly toasted bread.
If you have specific requirements such as not cow milk or green tea bring your own as the choice is cafe or English tea.
For the mobile, be aware to bring your own electric plug to reload.
No hairdryer neither so bring your own.
A towel to put on the floor near the shower would be good to prevent slipping.
I was at the top floor without lift, so if you have a heavy bag or physical conditions, specify it at booking
The Elmwood is close to Kings Cross Station and 5 minutes from Euston too, which is convenient. The single bed room (No.3S) was ideal for my one night stay, with comfortable bed and en-suite bathroom & shower. It is on basement level. There a TV on the wall and Tea making facility. Even though a little renovation could tidy the bathroom (crack in sink and corrosion of tap) it was good value and the staff were helpful. Unfortunately, there was a bit of floor board thumping and squeaking this morning at 6am, as people walked on the floor above ! But despite that, I am going back again in November.
We stayed here for a night before catching the Eurostar it was a very short walk to st Pancaras to get the train also easily placed for the tube. We went to the west end to catch a show the night before. There was 3 of us and the room was small a double bed and a single however it was literally somewhere to catch a few hours sleep and for the price we paid for 3 people it was well worth it. I used the shower and it was perfectly adequate. If you want somewhere clean and close to the station and central London then this is perfect. All staff I spoke to were polite and informative. I will not hesitate to stay here again.

One night stops
Generally ok, very out of date however very clean. Definitely worthy one night having only walking distance from St. Pancras International.
The room was small but had everything i needed. i only stayed one night while seeing the sights so only needed to sleep in. the staff were very friendly and the location is excellent for trains and underground.
The location of the hotel was great. However, the hotel is very old and needs updating. The bedding is not clean and the room was very small. There was one very small bar for four of us and no shower gel. I asked for extra shampoo and shower gel and was told that I can't have them both! They gave me a very cheap and bad quality shampoo only so I walked to the shops and bought shower gel and shampoo. They charged a lot of money for a very small room and dirty beds. I will never go back there again.
Our room for four was cramped and awkward. The furnishings and everything about the place worn and unlovely. But the white cotton sheets were clean and the mattresses though springy and old were comfortable enough and we slept. The shower was hot with good water pressure. The hotel is on a pleasant street just a block from Kings Cross so incredibly convenient. The guys at the desk were tired but helpful. We were able to leave our luggage after we checked out for just 5 pounds apiece (half the price of checked luggage at the station). If you're not too fussy, this can work for a night or two if you don't plan on spending any time in the room other than sleeping and showering.
We were told to come back as room not ready at check in time. Went back and still not ready. The room inside was worse. Main plugs were behind wardrobes, beds. There was two single beds and a double. Room clearly was a double or two singles. No room to move. By didn’t work. Kettle has to be moved to the floor to plug in. Room was a mess. Would not recommend
First time staying here and it was during a crisis. Very close to King’s Cross and staff welcoming. Great room and size, bedding is very different with lots of thinner layers compared to a duvet which I do prefer.
