Great location, breakfast was an extensive buffet. The building was very old inside. The carpets in the hall were very stained and worn. No A/C which was ok the night I was there, a portable fan was provided. Could hear the neighbouring room occupants coughing all night.

Very worn down, needs painting and updates. Room was a closet and barely able to walk around inside. If you are on a budget you might be happy with it but I will be paying extra next time for a newer hotel with a larger room. Staff were helpful.

Extremely disappointing!

Our experience was extremely disappointing! The staff all look miserable, our bathroom sink was cracked and leaked on the floor below, our shower had no water pressure and was only a trickle, all the carpets are stained and dirty, the beds are rock hard and the pillows pancake thin, several items in our room were broken (including the air unit), the wifi is terrible, one of the elevators was broken (we were on the 5th floor), and most importantly our room was like an actual sauna. Because of security locks, we couldn’t open the window more than a couple of inches (which I’m sure must be a fire safety hazard). There was no air circulation unless I left our room door open, which obviously isn’t safe, so the hot air can’t even escape when it cools down at night. My family and I didn’t slept more than a couple of hours a night and we were feeling miserable - it was completely destroying our family‘s vacation. After the first day, I asked to check out early with a refund for the remaining days. The receptionist had no authority to help me and I was told I would have to wait until the following morning at 9:00 am to speak with the manager. That meant delaying our next days’ plans. The manager, Carlotta, refused to come out of her office to speak to me personally. I was only refunded for one days’ stay. We moved two blocks away to a hotel that was absolutely lovely - clean, friendly, air conditioned and spacious room, and less expensive! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

This is a big Nope

I spent a month traveling through the uk. I have slept through several hotels all over England and London. This was by far the worst place that I ever had the misfortune to stay at. My supposedly non smoking room reaked of cigarette smoke and there was no air conditioning whatsoever and this was during a heat wave. None of the sink drained, the bathroom floor was coming apart. It’s nice that the lobby was actually air conditioned, it kept the staff nice and cool. The guests however had to sleep in furnaces. The wifi service was abysmal, continually dropping. If you like the sound of trains passing your window at all hours then this place might be for you. I would personally choose to sleep under a bridge rather than staying at this hotel again. The checking out process was surprisingly easy, a bored employee who was chatting on the phone took my electronic keys and nonchalantly waved me out.

I loved the location of the hotel and the breakfasts were excellent. The staff were very helpful as well. My only negative would be that the WiFi was not very strong and I needed to work on m computer. I loved the hotel and would even return once again. Thank you!

Old and Tired

Skip this Hotel. It is run down and tired. It appears they are up-grading some rooms but over-all it is past it's Best Before Date. TV only worked part time. The phone did not work at all. The bed was the oldest and worst we slept on in 8 weeks of travel. On a positive side the breakfast was good. The location was good to get around London and see the sights. Would recommend looking around for better accommodations.

I'll never stay here again, that's for sure

Where to begin? The room that's supposed to fit two people is smaller than a dorm room for one. There's nowhere to put your suitcases, no room to move around. The shower was so small I decided to skip it. The heat came on in the room (it was June) and we couldn't figure out how to turn it off. The wi-fi was so slow I threw my iPad across the room in frustration. The girl at the front desk speaks English so poorly it is literally impossible to understand what she is telling you; same goes for most of the wait staff. And somehow we were charged 7 pounds to be served a fried egg each at breakfast, even through the (very lovely) buffet was open to us and was included in our room rate. Two different wait staff tried to explain the incomprehensible signs explaining breakfast charges, but we were utterly confused, and decided to just pay the damned 7 pounds, shrug it off to lesson learned, and get the heck out of there as quickly as we could.

Nice hotel close to the tube station.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was extremely small but it was well lit and very clean. I had a tea kettle in the room so I was able to make tea as I wished. The hotel is located in the Bayswater area and it's close to Queensway and Bayswater tube stations. Notting Hill Gate station is a little farther away. Hyde Park is within a 5 minute walk from the hotel and it's amazing and breathtaking. Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Playground and Albert Memorial monument are located in the park and there are many other things to see in the park. This park is a dream-like oasis. It has many paths, a pond, a lake, interesting birds and critters and happy dogs. The Victoria and Albert museum and the Natural History Museum are not too far away. The supermarket Sudbury is near Bayswater station.

Location is okay for the discernible professional in a hurry. Due to its proximity to the railway and underground lines, the place is quite noisy.
