Had a lovely stay at the hotel the staff were lovely and extremely accommodating and helped me celebrate a birthday! The room was spacious and clean and the hotel itself has cool decor! I would definitely recommend to a friend and I will definitely be returning!

Arrived to check in at the hotel after prepaying in full and the hotel did not have the booking on their system despite having received confirmation from Expedia and them being able to see it on their Expedia system. After 20 minutes of waiting as the booked room was unavailable, we were given an accessible room that had a locked interconnected room which had little soundproofing as you could hear the conversation of the guests next door. The bathroom was also an adapted wet room which flood completely when using the shower. The hotel in itself was smart and tidy and the staff were not rude or unfriendly, it's just a pity about the long wait while checking in and the noise/flood issues.

I had a lovely stay. I did however email afterwards as I booked my dog as an extra guest and realised there were none of the promised extras that come with this (bedding, bowl etc) in the room. No one has responded to this email.

Fun hotel
Lovely Hotel, very quirky. Service was fantastic. Little of beaten track, but only a short walk from 2 tubes and bus near by. Massive bed and so comfy.

Great hotel
Nice hotel very British but the only complaint is they don’t have biscuits in the room. However the shower is powerful the bed is huge king size. And the location is not far from angel islington and King’s Cross

Your preferences might be different, but I like a cold bedroom. Even with the cooling on max, and after the lovely staff had fixed it, the bedroom didn't get below 20c. This wouldn't be a problem if the windows opened, but they don't. Breakfast was expensive so I didn't have it, but everything else was fantastic. A property with great character, interesting, well-made rooms, everything fantastic apart from the cooling

We enjoyed our stay with caveats. The hotel looks new, the self-consciously ‘whacky’ decor belaying the fact that it has definite teething problems. The staff especially appeared poorly trained and weren’t even able to help with directions into the West End. The tech at the front desk wasn’t working properly on checking in. The room was really great. We had been upgraded to a super king room. Most of the things you expect were there although the meanness of the amount of beverages was surprising. We also had to phone for a corkscrew and were asked if we were going to come down for it. We weren’t. Breakfast was ok but a lot of the food was cold and or stale. Bar service perfunctory. They are really going to have to train their staff properly if they want to succeed. In the words of my grandmother, at the moment it’s all fur coat and no kni****s. Could do better but useful if needing the East End and Islington.
