Ed on reception was utterly amazing. It was my mums birthday and we had a terrible journey to London. He was kind and friendly and sorted out some lovely little extra bits to really make my mums day. Will be visiting again!

Great smaller hotel conveniently located very centrally and walkable for most major areas in terms of shopping and entertainment. The hotel breakfast buffet incl a la carte options was impressive and very delicious. Lots of dining options both in hotel and surrounding area. Will definitely use again for future stays in London.

The property is in a fantastic area, within walking distance of most of what central London has to offer. Seven Dials is a quieter part of town, with a mix of slightly higher end shops and cafes. The pub across the road started loading kegs in at about 7/8am, but aside from that the area was very peaceful overnight. The room we chose was a Superior Double. On checking in we were told that our room was quite small and were offered free breakfast. This was slightly annoying, as we did not want to have breakfast - we wanted a good-sized room. While it was a nice gesture, it straightaway gave me a negative impression about what the size of our room would be. The room itself was finished to a high standard, and none of the elements appeared to be dated or dirty. The room and bed, however, were very small. If I was travelling solo this would’ve been fine, but as a couple it was too small. The bath was an odd shape, the shower was at an odd angle, and for some inexplicable reason the coffee machine was in the bathroom. Why anybody would want to make a coffee next to a toilet is beyond me. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a misunderstanding which meant I had my card charged twice (this was eventually sorted out). This left a slightly sour taste to the check-in procedure. Overall, this hotel felt slightly more style-over-substance. On the surface it is a nice looking hotel in a nice area, but ultimately it was small, expensive, and nothing too special.

As it was a lovely day and only one mile from St. Pancras-Kings Cross Station, we walked. Easily found Mercer Street but the hotel simply says Mercer Hotel. Nothing there about Radisson is visible outside. The reception staff were great and the hotel has two lifts (elevators) to all seven floors. We were "upgraded to a mini-suite" on the seventh floor. Nice room and very quirky design, making the most of the space. All good in there except the shower thermostat control which was damaged or broken and shower was scalding hot only. Too late to report it as we were due to check out in less than an hour. That was the only issue. Didn't use the mini bar. Okay toiletries provided.
