Staff were amazing. Helpful and polite. No wifi in room! Told it was the whole floor not working! Two days with no wifi is poor. Bed was very comfortable and spare pillows too. Room was tiny, and the en-suite. Shower only up high so had to wash my hair! The vent needed cleaning. The soap container was tight to the shelf so hard to pump it! Shampoo & body wash provided. Single glazed window and curtains not to the floor so a draft all night. Quiet hotel. Convenient to restaurants, railway and tube as well as Hyde Park.

We waited a long time for the room to be cleaned!
We waited a long time for the room to be cleaned! We were with a child, so we planned for our son to have a nap after the road and after that we wanted to go to the museum. But we waited for almost an hour for the room. We got to the museum, but we didn't have much time before closing, so we didn't see everything we planned there! Shouldn't family rooms be cleaned in priority over single rooms? Also, this room #7 has no windows, it does have one, but it faces the corridor, not the street, so it's useless.

I’ve stayed in worse; I’d probably stay again
I stayed in the micro-single, and it was pretty much good enough. For a tiny room, it was well laid out, with a small wardrobe, desk and chair, and tiny en suite with a heated towel rack and a good hot shower. There was an unpleasant drain odor, unfortunately, but otherwise the bathroom was clean. The bed was reasonably comfortable, despite a few sprung springs. The room was clean, though the presence of a pest control box under the desk was a bit disconcerting. Friendly staff, super convenient to Paddington Station, quiet, reasonably clean, and inexpensive. What’s not to like?

Pleasant staff. Clean but noisy - old windows not closing properly and a bathroom fan that didn't turn off. Terrible bed with springs poking out.

Not worth it. Rude check in staff, so hard to get an extra towel, shower doesn’t drain while you’re using it so you have to be quick otherwise the bathroom will flood. Don’t recommend

The noisiest hotel I have ever been to
The worst night of sleep I have ever had in a hotel. The walls must be made of paper because you can hear what everyone is doing on every floor. Banging and thumps all night coming from god knows what. The beds are horrifically uncomfortable to the point that it was actually painful to sleep on. The hotel is clean and the staff are nice but if you’re not a heavy sleeper you won’t have a good time at this hotel.

Not great
Room key didn’t work and had to go up and down three times before they figured it out. Bed only came with one pillow rather than two. Showerhead was squirting in all different directions.

Similar to others, I was slightly apprehensive before my stay because of negative reviews, but it was all for nothing because this hotel in my experience was FANTASTIC. The room and overall hotel were exactly a three-star hotel and at a great price, so if you are expecting a five-star experience on a three-star budget then you will be disappointed. If however you are perfectly content cleaning up after yourself and self-sufficient, you shouldn't find any problems with this hotel. It is in a very old part of London - of course the rooms will be small, and you will find pretty much the same in all the hotels in the area. Yes, the area is busy and you will hear noises both outside your window and in the hotel corridors - again you are in a very old building in a busy area, and frankly if you are over the age of 20 and have travelled at all and haven't already learnt to bring your own earplugs to unfamiliar places, that's on you. There were marks on the walls but if you've stayed in hostels at all and have experienced true budget conditions, you wouldn't even notice it. The room was clean, cute, well-maintained and the staff were fantastic, lovely and cheerful and very generous with handing over anything I asked for. Would highly recommend.
