We really enjoyed our stay here. So close to Paddington Station which made it convenient to get to from the airport and to get to other areas of London. Several dining options and many good coffee shops nearby. Our room was on the smaller side and the hallway was a narrow zig-zag... accessibility might be an issue depending on your needs. However, the hotel likely has better placed rooms that are more accessible.

we were made very welcome and the receptionist was expecting us as I had requested via e mail a ground floor room if possible. The room we had was allocated with thought as to how far my husband had to walk to it, perfect. Although we were there only for 1 night the stay was very very good and we will definitely use this hotel again and have already recommended it to others.

The staff at The Royal Eagle was very helpful. Theybwent above and beyond to help us find locations to places in London. They helped tremendously with my Mom who is in a wheel chair. The Royal Eagle is clean and safe with a very friendly staff.

Small, dated but clean.
For me, the room was too hot, I could not find a way to turn down the heating, the room was small, I had to shuffle sideways past the bed, the bathroom was amazing, well how they managed to fit a shower, toilet and sink in such a small space was amazing. my shoulders pretty much touched either side wall (not for the claustrophobic). The shower again was a small cubical but the shower flow out performed the drain. All in all, clean but dated, small and too hot.

Great location for a budget stay
Great location and very helpful staff. The room was tiny and very hot. The double bed was shorter than a normal bed and one side was up against a wall making getting in and out very difficult. There was no over bed light so impossible to read in bed. Bizarrely there were dressmaking pins still sticking out of the curtain.

The staff at the Royal Eagle are OUTSTANDING! Friendly, warm,helpful — a real delight. This is our fifth time staying here, and we’ll certainly be back at the earliest opportunity!

The location proximity to Paddington station is excellent and it's quite pretty on the outside, but inside the rooms felt like a dormitory, the bathroom had a weird smell, and there was only 1 electrical plug I could find for the whole room. For the price I suppose it's good value compared to other London hotels but it is quite literally only a place to lay your head.
