Dissapointed breakfast.
All was good, then Breakfast. The staff at Breakfast did not monitor the food, it all ran out and very slowly appeared. Sadly time did not allow for this. I went without.

We loved our stay at Southgate Hotel. It is very easy to get to with good parking, the hotel is so clean and all the staff were amazing. It is a very short walk to the tube and the high street which was really convenient. It was our second stay there and we will definitely be returning when we are next staying in London.

The stay was absolutely wonderful!! Ally and the rest of the crew are wonderful, caring, kind and generous. Everything was top notch, and it’s my second time in this hotel. Breakfast is great, everything is spotless (the hotel is new) and 4 min walk from the tube

The staff was very accommodating especially with a newborn baby. Mark especially as well as the deputy manager & manager were all so helpful and lovely that we extended an extra night. Everything was new, clean & the proximity to the tube station meant the journey wasn’t long when we went to central.

Superb !!
Brand new hotel in Southgate very close to the underground and high st. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Large comfortable rooms with a kitchenette and super coffee machine and tea and instant coffee available in the room. Good amenities available and a fantastic power shower . Very good breakfast freshly cooked with lots of healthy options . Not tried the evening restaurant yet . There is an alcohol free bar with plenty of options and is part of the hotel's healthy ethos. Very helpful and friendly service from all the staff. Small fitness room available for use .

Lovely with a few recommendations.
It was a lovely hotel, breakfast was good and close to transport links. A couple of recommendations…even with the air con, the room was quite stuffy so would have liked the window to open. Pillows were plush but too big for my comfort, so a smaller pillow choice would have been good too. Take you own alcohol if you want a drink.

What a little hidden gem. It was immaculate, the seating area in reception was really chilled, the staff were impeccable (especially a lovely guy who served us and we drove him mad for sauces/plates but nothing was an issue). It was so handy being able to park without it costing more than the hotel. So handy for Southgate tube, so many Greek/cypriot authentic eateries, M&S food and Asda so close too. The only negative was the sound in the rooms. I could literally hear what they doing in the room above. One guy sounded like he needed a doctor he was coughing that badly until 3am. Luckily my daughter slept through it all but I didn’t. I would stay again though as it’s so convenient and clean

This hotel is a little gem of a find. Reasonably priced, superb clean and modern room. Easy check in, couldn’t fault it. I stay out 3-4 times a week with work, and London is so hard to find a decent hotel. I will use this all the time now

Excellent Hotel and Stay
I found this new gem of a hotel through a friend and booked immediately. It is literally 2 minutes walking distance from Southgate Station on the Piccadilly Line and the bus station with buses to various parts of North London. I initially stayed 2 nights and booked a further night. As a solo traveller I really appreciated the helpful staff and in particular Princy who solved a minor problem immediately. The first room was a standard double and the second a superior accessible room. Both were very comfortable in size and the beds were extremely comfortable... They also have a fridge in the room which is handy during hot weather. I will definitely stay there again in the future and highly recommend this hotel to others. One last point - there is no alcohol sold on the premises but the hotel has many cafés and pubs close by.

Shiny hotel… tarnished experience.
We were struck by how new this hotel was. It even had that new car smell. Very impressive lobby and immediate check in without issue. Room was also nice but some very confusing light switches which appeared to turn lights on in a random fashion (good luck). Powerful shower but only one hook for four towels is an oversight (how can you expect guests to reuse them when they can’t dry piled up together)? There is a good instruction on how to control the Air conditioning unit but it wouldn’t switch off on arrival, so we did our best to regulate it. However, when we returned after 11pm, the unit was off and wouldn’t switch back on. As the night progressed, the room became stuffier and stuffier and this led to a very uncomfortable night. When we informed reception it wasn’t possible to switch the A/C on or off, they said it was controlled in their office! I told them this was unacceptable and there was no way to ventilate the room otherwise (windows locked shut). The receptionist seemed unsympathetic and I advised that customers shouldn’t be given the impression they were in control of their own A/C when this wasn’t the case. Breakfast was a letdown. There were tiny amounts of each item in the serving dishes and these weren’t replenished quickly enough. Both coffee machines had packed in by 09:45 and didn’t work again during the breakfast service despite our enquiries (someone is coming to look Sir). What should have been an impeccable experience was something of a letdown.
