The rooms were very small, bathroom had been renovated but when you sat on toilet you hit the toilet roll holder. Breakfast was a basic continental, if you didn’t time it right you had to queue for a table. Did not have any gluten free, or lactose free options was told you had to order at time of booking, although that was not mentioned when booking. It was reasonable cheap for this area and that’s all you got.

The Dover is no frill hotel. The property is clean and as advertised. The only issue I had was my last day I was not able to take a shower because the water would never turn on and the little bit that did turn on the faucet was just enough to wash my face and brush my teeth.

Good simple breakfast with fantastic coffee, conveniently located 👍, big local Sainsbury’s supermarket nearby, nice hotel staffs; however sadly they don’t provide bar soap every day so need to ask and don’t really think they change bedsheets everyday only tidy up that’s all, very narrow dangerous stairs for luggage carrying, very thin walls & continuous floor creaking late into night which is not suitable for light sleepers, not much tv channels esp. BPL matches, overall good room size for average Asians size, I definitely will return again in future 👍

Great location for all we wanted to do. Bathroom is a bit small, and the sink is in the sleeping area. A little disappointed in the breakfast offerings. Staff was polite and helpful.

It was a very small room but we knew that going in however it was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a continental type including toast, cereal, yogurt, coffees, tea and juices which was fine with us. We did find the room warm but were able to cool it off using the fan and opening the window in the evening as it was September and so not really hot during evening. The decor is definitely dated including the carpets. You do hear noise from other rooms but not an ongoing issue for us. The location was excellent. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see and it is close to Victoria station for all transportation.

Staff were pleasant in the end of our 6 days stay but initially not helpful. I believe they are understaffed. Linens have a certain smell with blood stains inside the comforter. Room was not vacuumed but only trash changed. Two small bar soap provided. Limited towels. Breakfast are only toast, coffee, juice & cereals. I’m not recommending to anyone. Location better, near Victoria station & restaurants.

Older property with a lot of charm. The staff is very obliging. A few minor touch ups needed, like new carpet on the stairs down to the dining room. Very good overall, I have booked a return stay. Easy walking distance to Victoria Train & Bus Station and I even walked back on different days from Buckingham Palace and today from Westminster Abbey.

Very conveniently location, walking distance to Victoria Station and main attractions like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. It’s small room but clean and confortable. Be advised no elevators, no problem for us. Breakfast was included only cereal, juice, coffee and toast. I loved the early check in without extra payment. I really appreciate it because we came so tired from New York. We really need the early check in. Room was available at 12pm.

This is an older budget friendly hotel, rooms are quite small but location is excellent! Our room had new carpet and bed was very comfortable! Room was very clean and fixtures in bathroom looked new. Breakfast was simple but satisfying; an automatic coffee machine that offered cappuccino, latte, espresso, hot chocolate, and black coffee, plus hot water for tea. Four kinds of cereal, milk, juices, an assortment of jams, marmalade and Nutella, toast, yoghurt. Staff very friendly. Our room was downstairs so carrying heavy suitcases down narrow steps might pose a problem for some people. We’d stay here again on a future trip to London. On their business card it says it will save you money to book directly through the hotel versus third party but I can’t confirm this having booked our stay through Expedia.
