After arriving from a 16 hour travel, our room wasnt ready. We finally got a room at 8 pm. It made out traveling day extra exhausting and stressing.

The location and views are amazing. I will say that the rooms need to be updated and not the best. The sink was clogged, the tv reset when changing channels, and the shower is not designed for anyone over 6’ tall (I’m 6’3 and the shower head came to my shoulders. On the other end the restaurants, grounds and the staff were positively AMAZING. If the rooms could be updated then it would automatically jump to a 5 star hotel.

So, my pet peeve is cleanliness. No matter how great a hotel looks on the outside or common areas, my main focus is the room I have to occupy and I'm laser focused on the bathroom. The first thing I noticed was the bathroom was dirty. I could see the dirt build up around the fixtures in the shower so much that I used a wet tissue and was able to wipe it off. The bathroom door was rotting and clearly needs to swap out. The tub and fixtures also need upgrading. Now to my other pet peeve - I like clean rooms. Yes, I'm all for saving the planet and I recycle and drive a hybrid but when it comes to my hotel room, I want it clean everyday. I like to walk into a clean room after a day of sightseeing. I requested my room to be clean. When I came back, the housekeeper was there but only change the towels, empty one trash can and didn't even bother to make the bed. The shower wasn't cleaned, soap was still stuck around the face basin, dirty glasses was still in the bathroom and the bathroom trash was not empty. Women would understand why we would like for the bathroom trash to be emptied - specifically. You get the idea. Utter housekeeping fail. I called the front desk and they did offer to send someone to clean it while I watched but that's not the point. I'm not a supervisor - just a guest expecting good service. Finally, I'll leave this review on a positive note. I was all excited to make this hotel my London go to until the cleaning fiasco. If that improves, I'll be back

View from the room is worth it!
We stayed in London for one night for my birthday. The view of Tower Bridge from the room was amazing. Excellent location, the new bottomless brunch was great with an amazing view. Bed was comfy. Luggage storage was secure. I’d definitely stay again.

This property was good overall, but not great. Staff were very very nice which makes up for it. The view was great. What we didn’t like, was our rug in our room was very wet on our first day, and we thought it was because they just cleaned. After a while, it stayed wet and then smelled :( we also had something brown on 1 of our sheets. I also realized in checking out if you didn’t use room service or need towels, you’d get a credit for food/drink. We did not use room service as we were only there 3 nights. So that was disappointing as we did eat at the restaurant and didn’t have a credit. Which we were told/asked upon check in. Also, location is far from a lot. Best part was definitely the view!

Disappointed, but compensation in that great view!
The very best aspect of this hotel was it's view- to my knowledge every room (including ours) has a superb view of the Tower Bridge. This bridge is awesome sight no matter what time of day or night you see it! The hotel- especially the rooms (there are over 800 of them!!) need attention. The carpet in our room was old, worn and not the cleanest. The furniture is very worn and the bathroom equally in need of updating. The sink in our bathroom was clogged and took forever to drain. We expected more from such a large hotel and were somewhat disappointed.

We keep going back, so it must be good. Never had a bad room and this time we had a view of St Katherines dock and the Royal Barge was morred outside our room.
