Newly renovated interior to a turn of the 20th century duplex. Nestled in a charming part of London, bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun.
The Madison County Fairgrounds are a 5 minute drive and Kroger is 1.1 miles and Walmart is 1.7 miles.
3.8 miles from Farm Science Review and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy is a 6 minute drive.
2 blocks from the Ohio to Erie Bike Trail. 3.8 miles from Farm Science Review. 8 minute walk to downtown London; The State Theater, Ronettis Pizza, McDonalds, Proctor Store, London Coffee Peddler, Fine Designs Coffee and Gifts, Xpress Fitness, Union Street Salon and Public Library.
Kroger is 1.1 miles and Walmart is 1.7 miles.
Newly renovated 1600 square foot apartment with new HVAC, carpet, flooring, updated bathroom with tub and shower, and updated kitchen.
Separate Heating and Cooling for upstairs and downstairs for those that like different temps on different floors. A king size bed, one queen size bed and one full size bed in three private rooms easily allows 6 people to sleep comfortably. A 58" TV is provided in the living room and a 55" TV in the Master Bedroom await for those who just want to chill and watch a good movie. Smoke detectors and CO dectors are located throughout. A bluetooth soundbar in the old china cabinet is provided for those that want to listen to their favorite music.
You will have access to the entire unit, along with a private washer and dryer on premesis. Ironing board and iron are available in the bathroom, along with a hairdryer for those that may forget. Fire extenguishers are located under the sink in the kitchen and in the end pantry. Crib is located in the Master Bedroom closet along with stairway gate.
You may text me at any time for any assistance needed during your stay.
Downtown London is in walking distance to shops and businesses. Grocery shopping would be best if driving, although there is a convenience store within a 6 minute walk. There is also a Fraternal Order of Eagles 3 blocks away, and an American Legion.

Wonderful Stay

I made a great choice

I reserved the property on one side and my sister did the otherside. We came in for a wedding at the Darby House. My family. Twelve of us stayed for maximum of 2 nights and it was so convenient, We could spend time together all in one place, even though we were coming from different parts. Comfy beds. All the comforts and then some. Cant recommend enough. JB.

London Calling!

The Black Door in London is a perfect place for anyone doing a through-bike of the OET. Easily accessed from the trail this property immediately felt like home. The area felt safe and there is a variety of restaurants within walking distance. This duplex is elegant and spacious. We GREATLY appreciated having our own washer and dryer in the unit.very clean and decently stocked. We would absolutely stay here again!

Super cute, historical, timeless place to stay! Close to everything in London. We will definitely be back. Unfortunately we had hopes on a 1.5/2 toilet house with two separate guests, based off the listing, but it is only 1 full bath. Maybe a note in the description could alleviate further confusion. Otherwise amazing!!

The house is amazing with its old woodwork and staircase. Kitchen and bath are updated beautifully. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms, spacious. The home is immaculate. My only negative is that the only bathroom is on the 2nd floor and there seems to be an issue with broadband(?) TV was hit or miss. Host is very responsive and helpful. I will be happy to return to this beautiful home.

Lovely property. Good price.

Overall, we were very pleased with the property during our stay. It was very well appointed, clean, and comfortable. While I appreciate the owner’s house rules and did try to follow them to the extent that we could. I did not insist that my son removed his shoes in the house as he is disabled and requires a prosthetic with his shoe to get around safely.

What a great duplex property! We loved the British decor and great space to hang out at the dining table and living room. Expedia has this property listed with 2 baths, but it has only one bathroom. Not a problem for us, but others might want to know. The Red Door duplex next door is the same layout. This would make a great rental for a family gathering.

Simple, elegant, spacious and cozy all at once. Close to several fantastic local restaurants. 3 bedroom unit is one half of a duplex, which wasn't immediately clear from the listing, but no matter. Host very responsive and helpful.
