Being in London for the first time, I would have preferred to get a hotel rather than an apartment. I guess I did not read the summary of hotel very well because it was an apartment above an restaurant that needed a code. Once I paid through expedia, I do admit I received an email not from Expedia requesting my passport, and credit card information in order to gain access to the hotel. Who would just send their information via email to someone that they did not engage business with, or let alone never heard of. The name was completely different from the one mentioned on Expedia. So after riding the subway in London with no elevator access, stairs upon stairs, we finally got to the location and search, and searched, and searched for the "hotel" finally I realized it has to be above one of the restaurants on the street.
Finally get the address and we did not have a code. I had to use someone phone to call the number on my email, because there was no 1-800 number only number for London. I reached someone and I had to email my passport and give them my cc information over the phone, I finally received the code to access and there were more stairs to climb, about 4-5 flights. Once there, there were not enough blankets, sheets, towels, and of course I could not call because I do not have international phone access.
With all of this said, the location is great! and if you are staying for a long period of time, it is a decent apartment.
