A Bare Bones, Zero Amenity Hotel PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS HOTEL IS ABOUT BEFORE BOOKING YOUR STAY HERE. To start, you will be advised that you can check in early for a fee... or store your luggage for a fee... You will then need to check yourself in, like a self check-out at the grocery store, despite a fair number of staff standing around. You'll then quickly realize that there are no windows in this whole hotel, in the lobby, in your room, nowhere... once you are settled into your amenity free room (no TV, no hairdryer, no iron), you then think "What is this??" It's literally like a prison cell here! A review of the hotel's website acknowledges that there are in fact special rooms to do your ironing or hairdrying, or, you can get one in your room, for a fee... And if that's not enough, you even have to walk down to the front desk to obtain a roll of toilet paper, since they don't replace it in your room, unless of course you have paid for full room services upon your booking. We have done a fair amount of travelling, all across North America, Italy, Ireland and Scotland, and this complete inconvenience of a hotel is by far the worst we have ever stayed. I will add that the hotel is in a great location, but there are a lot of other hotels in the immediate area.

Terrible, Double Charged & Refused to Refund!!!

Stayed in August 2025, with airline strike, we can't make it to out first nigh stay. I called and 2 hotel receptionists said they will adjust nights when we arrive. I was thankful. The we arrived and requested early check-in, I was made to pay 40gbp for it. Now my bill came and not only they charged me still 3 full nights and ALSO billed me the early check-in fee! So they charged me double. I asked for refund because how can you charge the 3 full nights and also early-check in fee, Hotel refused to refund me 40gbp and offered 20% discount on future stay. I do not need the discount. I wanted my refund. But hotel insisted they cannot do refund. As hotel manager, you do not have the authority to rectify your hotel's error charges?? Just awful. They don't even have phone lines to be reached or being answered. I was using Whatsapp. So be warned! I felt being robbed in broad daylight. It was frustrating dealing with hotel. They make a run for your money. And we were already under financial stress with the unexpected expenses due to airline strike and we have this hotel's disgusting business ethics to deal with. Terrible!

No way of contacting for service had to get up & go down to get help with anything. Didn’t like that, knew what I was getting myself into it being capsules & not having windows but not having phones or anything like that to contact them was so inconvenient & annoying

Air conditioning was very poor to non-exsistent. Room was very hot. Pillows were some of the most awful I have ever used, like cardboard!

Honestly, this hotel was grand if all you need is literally just a bed, but that’s about it. It’s as basic as they come, think Ryanair but in hotel form, and not in a charming way. They charge you £15 per bag just to hold onto your luggage before check-in or after check-out, which is an absolute joke. I’ve stayed in hostels that’ll do it for free, so that was a bit of a slap in the face. The room itself wasn’t great. The air con barely worked (and with no window, it felt like a bit of a box), though we did manage to get a fan after asking. The shower also overflowed and leaked into the bathroom, which was just the cherry on top. The only saving grace was the location — it’s genuinely handy for getting around London. But honestly, for the price we paid, it felt like a total rip off. If you’re just desperate for somewhere to crash and don’t care about comfort, it’ll do. Otherwise, save your money and book literally anywhere else.

Hotel was good. Yes minimalistic but then that was as advertised. Although the ‘extra’ charges were ridiculous ! £40 fir an ‘early’ check in (1.5 hours) then £30 to leave two bags in their left luggage room
