The property was nice, modern and well maintained. However, I was not prepared at how bare the Cocoon rooms were. No windows, closets, desk, chair or nightstand furnishings. Just the bed and a ledge at the headboard for charging small electronics. There was a sink but no counter. The shower & bathroom are open plan with no ledges for personal bath products. It is likely great for economy travelers, but if you like furnishings and amenities, this is not the hotel for you. There was a cafe and gym in the basement and connected to restaurants & pubs. Staff was very pleasant.

Rooms are very small with no table no chair no TV Bed is basically a mattress on a slightly raised wooden floor dark gray walls with no pics in the hallways making it dificultb to navigate like being in a cave. Tried to upgrade to a bigger room they would not let me. Horrible

The Zedwell is like an ex that you go back to because of the familiarity of the surrounding area. It’s a well designed hotel that lacks the depth and warmth and human interaction that it purports to connect humans and their impact in world wether that be environmental or societal The Zedwell brand is low cost hotel disguised as a eco concious offering with the price point of a much more prestige establishment. It lacks simple but necessary items such as beside tables, a bar fridge, a change of towels (even after many attempts to secure more via their wattsapp concierge I was unsuccessful) The only thing that made me commit to this brand again was the convenience to the direct train line to Heathrow. I’m back in London next week and later in the month of October but will be giving the Zedwell a wide berth.

The room has no window and no small light for the pitch darkness at night. No electric outlet for computer or electric razor. Only 4 device plug ins. Bed was uncomfortable. At check in lobby was filled with people waiting because check-in time was set for 3PM but rooms could be gotten immediately for an additional 60 pounds. The clientele of this facility didn't look like they could afford this.

Minimalistic and misrepresented
The room assigned was nothing like the accompanying photograph. To say the room was minimalistic is an understatement. It was basically a windowless white cell, apart from a bed shoved into the corner of the room there was nothing else, no chair, no carpet, no table/desk and just two small wall hooks on which to hang clothes. The floor in the “bedroom” was the same cold grey tile that was used in the bathroom. The shower had nothing to retain water, so when in used the water spread across the bathroom floor completely surrounding the toilet and sink, it then flowed into the bedroom. I had to use a bath towel to dry the floor before being able to use the toilet or even go to bed. I understand that check-in was 3 p.m., however when I tried to check in at 2:45 I was told there would be a £40 surcharge. There was even a surcharge to use the luggage storage. I stayed 2 nights and the only service I received was a fresh towel, bed wasn’t made and bathroom wasn’t cleaned. The only positive comment is that the location was excellent. I would never stay at this hotel again, travellers beware!

The location of the property is excellent. The room itself was not what I was expecting. There are no windows. There is a slightly frosted glass wall separating the shower and toilet are from the rest of the room. You can clearly see the outline of the person in there, can clearly hear the bathroom being used as well. Luckily they had a public bathroom area in the basement we would use in the basement. No hairdryers and if you eat you can rent one for 10 pounds. The service and the location were the only good things about the hotel. If you are staying with anyone other than a spouse, showering and using the toilet is pretty uncomfortable. For that reason don’t think I’d stay again. And no windows, which made it kind of dark. And the room was really small. Not much space to put a suitcase even. Very unusual space.

It was a good location however the cocoon concept was weird. No tables, chairs etc was difficult as everything went on the floor. The platform beds are not a good concept for anyone who has mobility issues. Trying to get off the platform is difficult. As I was getting off I fell very hard, hit my head on the corner of the glass shower corner, and severely damaged my knee and had to hobble around the city in a lot of pain. I told the manager and all I got was a query if I needed to go to hospital. I David no but did not want to stay in a room with platform bed so they put us in one with 2 twin beds, but there were dust bunnies still on the floor. Second worse hotel I have ever stayed at

LOUD. Floor 2 is right above a popular loud bar open till 3 am. The walls actually shake with reverb and it’s unbearably loud. The rooms have no windows, tv or luggage lift so everything including the mattresses are on the floor. We actually loved the modern style but the advertising promises solitude and sound proof floors & walls. Clearly false advertising and the people booking the rooms know that floor 2 is TOO LOUD.

Good location if you’re staying for the theatre, tube stop right next to the hotel and options for food. Can walk to Leicester Square in 5 minutes. The hotel attempted to charge me again for the reservation despite this being paid in full at the time of booking. Staff were friendly. Breakfast in the Cyote Ugly bar was worth the money. The hotel room was a lot smaller and not really as depicted in the photos, we had stained linen and towels and the bathroom was unclean, the sink did not drain properly either. Okay for a basic stay.
