EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! We stayed for maybe an hour. There was no parking near the hotel. They charged me an additional $25 to park in an isolated lot 1 block away. To make it worse, it was about 20 degrees outside. The bed sheets smelled like sweat. We eventually left because the guest next door was shouting, arguing and cursing loudly in the hallway. My kid was picking up on the cursing. One guest threatened physical harm to another. I was with my wife and 9yr old son. I was so afraid for my family, I wasn't even going to ask for another room. I complained to the front desk on our way out. NEVER, NEVER NEVER would I recommend this place. Stay away.

It was just a quick overnight, but the bathroom had bugs and the “King Bed” was just two incredibly uncomfortable twin mattresses pushed together. I do have to say though despite that, the check in/out staff were very very kind, accommodating, and efficient. And aside from the bathroom, the hotel did appear pretty clean so it was a little surprising and maybe an off season fluke. But the bed being so uncomfortable far overshadowed the good.

Fleabag hotel
We wound up walking out and could not sleep there. Yuck. This place is the proverbial fleabag. Old, disinfectant smells overpower hallways, paper thin walls, tiny rooms without anyplace to sit, mold in bathrooms. Twin room had bed supported by unfinished particle board. One headboard had deep stains. Elevator peeling paint. I made reservations for 3 rooms, based on photos. Family in area tried to see rooms in advance, there were never any available. I called hotel several times and was assured the family would be together. When I checked in, one room was on 1st floor, one on second, and one on third. Considering that one was for children, that was totally unacceptable. They eventually upgraded our rooms so we could all be together.. Very kind. That's the only good thing I could say. They are unwilling to give us refund even though we didn't stay.

Rooms were very old and not clean. They had a space heater in the room for temperature control. No thermostat and no other heat. Room would get extremely hot from space heater. Would crack window and it became freezing in room. Very uncomfortable the entire stay. Room was in desperate need of renovation.

Rooms were extremely small. Small enough to just fit a bed. The bathrooms are also tiny. Staff was friendly but it appears that theres section 8 residents sharing the hotel.

They allow shady people to loiter around the front, the entrance and lobby look decent enough but once you get into the hallways and rooms it’s terrible. 50 year old rugs, smells like mildew, the rooms look like apartments in the boroughs. Bathrooms have an underlying mildew smell. This is a slightly upscale crack hotel. Never again.

Good stay for the price! Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and had a mini fridge. Yes the walls are thin and parking isnt the easiest but the place is well maintained and theres free coffee and the beach is just a walk away (great location).

This property looked very nice in the pictures. I guess I am not used to NYC hotels. While the entry and lobby was very open, the stairway and hallways were very narrow (around 3' wide). I checked in around 11 pm. There is plenty of street parking, but it was all taken. I circled a 2 block radius for 30 minutes before I went in a paid $25 for a reserved space. The room was small, but nice. A little floor heater had the room toasty. I had to turn it way down, but it worked well. Bedtime, then it starts: every couple of minutes drunk and / or rude people would end up in the hallway talking loud or yelling at someone. That kept waking me up for a couple of hours. I was there late and left early, but I did not see any dining options other than the hotel restaurant that was open from 3p to 10p. The hotel itself was passable for what I needed. I needed a room where guests were more respectful.
