Very pleased
This hotel was nice, service was so friendly and the room comfortable. The decor had been updated and everything was very clean. My only complaint was the only outdoor seating area was small, for smoking and not shaded in anyway. Even in the mornings, east Texas is hot and a little shade would have been nice especially since I’m outside person it would have been a nice amenity. Other than that I would definitely stay again.

It was okay but….
Good hotel, breakfast was good, it was clean, my room was clean. The only the was the room was never cleaned once we were in it. My trash was never changed during my stay. I was glad I decided to take out food containers so the room wouldn’t stink. We also had to keep asking for towels. I guess since they didn’t clean they never brought towel. So I kept asking daily and I saw the cleaning person on our floor when we would leave.

When we checked in, we discovered that our bathroom sink was mostly clogged. The front desk said there was no maintenance staff for the weekend. Yes, it was Memorial Day weekend, but we were PAYING to stay there, so there should have been maintenance. And clearly the bathroom sink had not been cleaned in some time because the clog would have been previously reported/fixed. We had no maid service, even though we stayed in this room Saturday through Monday evening, when we were finally given a different room that had a working sink. This hotel is not what it used to be.

I called prior to booking to ask if the swimming pool was open. I was told it was. We arrived, only to learn that it wasn't actually open. Area around the property was heavily wooded and it would have been nice to look at, if it weren't for all the trash littered in it. Breakfast selection was just ok. One of the ac units outside seemed to be on the fritz and making a lot of weird noises. Outside of the hotel looked like it could use some repairs too.

Overall everything was fine. Had to move reservation up a day and got charged 58.60 more. Got to hotel and the change had not been made and the clerk said the rate should have been the same .

Not somewhere I'd stay again.
Furniture around the room is kind of scuffed up. Bathroom definitely needs an overhaul - especially the shower. Also, NO hot water. We were told it was because people going to see the Rangerettes were staying at the hotel. That's a great excuse - NOT. Don't rent out the rooms if you can't provide hot water to them. Staff really didn't care. Refrigerator was dirty.

This is a very clean and quiet property located just shy of I20 in Kilgore. It was convenient and fair in pricing. I would s recommend and stay another time.
