This cozy, quiet, and private, 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with a sleeping loft, is nestled in the woods. A short walk down to Shark Reef Sanctuary offers one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. Deer, rabbits, otters and eagles live on the property. The cabin is less than 1 mile from the golf course in one direction, and Shark Reef Park is less than a mile in the other direction. Lopez island is a favorite for bike riders, beachcombers and kayakers. Enjoy amazing hikes, the Saturday Farmers Market, Lopez Island Thrift store, Horse Drawn Farms produce, meats and flower stand and the Take it or Leave it, free store at the dump.
The cabin sleeps 4, especially if two of the four are children, but can accommodate more if you don't mind being extra close and paying an extra charge. The sleeping loft is less than 4ft high, so keep that in mind. This cabin is like a tiny home so be prepared to be close.
It has a fully stocked kitchen with a gas range and full size refrigerator, it does not have a dishwasher. There is a small yard, a deck with a propane fire table and a BBQ. A favorite place for guests is the private outdoor hot tub. The yard is not watered in the summer as is common on Lopez. We have a finite amount of water and conserve where possible.
The cabin has free wi-fi, DVD players and two TVs hooked up to Amazon Firesticks. Movies can be rented in the village and there is a small collection at the cabin. There is no washer or dryer, however there is a laundromat outside of the village. Although we provide towels and linens we ask that you bring your own beach towels. The cabin is equipped with ceiling fans, air conditioning and a new heat pump. Pets are welcome if you agree to the rules on the pet addendum. Please download it, read it and forward it back to us.
We are serious on Lopez about sustainability. Anything that comes on to the island must go off. This especially includes garbage. In order to create as little waste as possible, a recycling bucket and a compost container have been provided. Information on recycling and composting can be found in the welcome notebook once you arrive.
If you find any problems with the cabin please let us know right away so we can address it immediately. We truly want your experience to be a pleasant one. The address listed is how you will find the cabin. The actual address is 51 Micah Lane. The cabin has a 51 on the siding, and two parking spots right in front.
