The buffet and facilities are excellent, but the apartment room could benefit from upgrades and maintenance. Many features, such as the kitchen appliances and toilet, feel outdated and worn. In particular, the toilet and shower areas urgently need improvements, including new pipes and updated tiles.

It was ok
Good staff who were helpful The room was in the original part and a good size but a long walk down 2 corridors and two sets of stairs later we made it The general room condition was clean and tidy but tired looking and the shower was over a very high bath and quite awkward to get into The view out of our only window was the hotel laundry certainly not special Excellent breakfast with a good food choice Parking was ok near the front door but a long way from the room expect a good walk The mantra is more set up for a longer stay not just one night

We always stay at the Mantra when we visit Lorne, as its an easy, quick walk into town, reasonably priced, quiet andcwe LOVE their famous buffet breakfast.

I paid $50.00 more for a sea view and the view was more of the court with the tiniest view of the sea. I would not have spent the extra money for what I received. It was misleading. Staff were not interested in hearing my complaint. I booked through a 3rd party which seemed to be an issue. The property looked extremely tied

Accommodations were dated and mediocre at best. Bed was saggy and needed replacement. Room was also in a terrible location, as a ground floor room directly facing the outdoor dining area (almost always active with people) and therefore shades needed to be drawn at all times. Bedroom window also faced a shared space and shade had to be drawn at all times. Interior lighting was harsh, but had no other choice. Hotel location was excellent including very easy beach access, but that had nothing to do with the facilities.

We stayed at the property a number of years ago and enjoyed it so we returned. Disappointed that the property doesn’t seem to have been maintained since our last visit. Entrance to rooms were grubby, lift out of order. In saying that, staff were all lovely esp the Assistant manager who checked us in. All F& B staff were friendly and helpful. Great location but needs some TLC to keep up with what guests expect today.
