Hotel was clean and safe. Simple, no frills. Professional staff. There are no key cards provided. Receptionist wrote codes on a piece of paper for front door access and room access. Great partial views of the ocean from the room. Very busy bustling part of the boardwalk. Lots of foot traffic. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Bed in the room has a full-size mattress on a platform frame. Small tv- has cable channels. Room has a table with 2 chairs, microwave, full size refrigerator/freezer, steamer, standing fan and a space heater. It was chilly weather. No central heat. Bathroom was cold. Room door does not have a peep-hole. There was damage to the wall and the bathroom ceiling. Shower is covered with a hanging fabric shower curtain. Loud music plays at the restaurant/club directly beside the hotel. Hotel provides disposable earplugs in the room. Huge public parking lot is directly across from hotel. Very reasonable flat rate for visitors until 10PM. No overnight parking allowed. There is lots of homelessness in the surrounding areas. There are tarps and rolling carts, and tents. People are sleeping in the corners of the public parking lot, sleeping at the public restroom areas; and on the beach. There are cleaning crews and safety teams daily on the boardwalk in the early mornings. There is lots of despair. It is very sad.

We liked the location, however don’t think for a second you will have good parking. We ended up in a garage about a quarter mile away where it was $20/night. The lady that was running the desk in the night/ evening was barely at the counter. Had to sit around waiting for her couple of times. And I don’t know if the walls are thin or if the people of above us were extra loud. Overall we enjoyed staying right on the beach and this place provided that at a decent enough price. The building also locked with a code to enter and that made us feel good. We also liked the room size.

not a place to have a romantic getaway
rooms are very cheap looking , like the got everything from a yard sale , no decoration , floors are worn out … room looks nothing like the Picture ,bed made sounded like it was goto fall apart when you moved in it , no A/c the had a cheap plastic fan that was loud and they don’t have hotel keys they give you door codes … other then the view this place sucked

There is nothing fancy or particularly nice about this hotel, except it's location is on the beach. There's a lack of working electrical outlets & there is no cleaning service. It's a basic room, functional & clean enough for us. The positives are location, view, & full size fridge in our room.

Good value and clean
The location was awesome. Step out onto the beach. The price for the location was awesome as well. The room was clean and had a steamer to help smooth out clothing wrinkles. The faux wood floors are very noisy with the doors to the room being thin and not touching the floor, so the noise in the hotel echoes. Lots of drunk people came through from 2-3 AM so it was loud and difficult to sleep through. But it was a good value, just use the provided ear plugs ... even if you don't think you will need them.

The photos are nothing like the actual room. Bar right outside the room. If the hotel had a/c then the I could close the window but couldn’t. Luckily the beach is very close and it doesn’t get hot in California this time of year.

It’s close to everything on Venice Beach. But it’s very loud. Our first night, the music across the street didn’t end until 2am. Lucky I brought ear plugs. Our room had a mini kitchen, only problem all they had in it was 2 coffee cups, 2 wine glasses and 2 champagne flutes.
