It was fine, please hire actual onsite front desk.
Hotel itself was fine. Area around the hotel was somewhat sketchy. What I really don’t like is the lack of an actual front desk person, you are often speaking to a remote person on a kiosk. Would not stay here again for this reason alone.

The lobby was completely vacant of people. I sat down on a couch and dust puffed off it. The neighborhood was much more remote from downtown than I had realized. I hadn’t paid up front and didn’t check in. It cost me one night but it definitely didn’t feel like the place for me.

VERY small room. Only floor lamp did not work. Without better lighting, room was dark. Floors were uneven. Luggage cart and two people BARELY fit into elevator. Homeless and drugged people everywhere on streets. Streets were filthy. Personally felt unsafe just walking outside the hotel.

The hotel was fine, it’s actually a cross between a hotel and motel with a large number of rooms opening into inner courtyards. Unfortunately my room was up by the street, so it was pretty noisy most of the night. My colleague was in a different part of the hotel and didn’t have a window in her room. It was clean enough, but I would probably pay a little more and stay elsewhere next time around. I didn’t interact with the staff at all, other than the staff member on a screen in the lobby who checked me in virtually.

The pictures do not look like the place. It used to be an old Ramada which is funny because they still had the old phones in the room but everything else said the Live. Things were dingy and dirty. It smelled like a smoking hotel and is run down. The continental breakfast was nasty. They had eggs, uncooked tater tots, cereal and apples. Don’t let the lipstick on a pig fool you! Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. Toms is the nicest part of this hotel. The only convenience was its proximity to downtown LA. Other than that, the location is a ghetto part of the city.

Overall property was okay the area around is not a safe place parking wasn’t extremely convenient I felt uneasy leaving in a unlocked lot across the street. Breakfast was okay, but very small area and only 1 pancake machine so it takes awhile to get your food.

The staff are great. There is a coffee shop in the hotel so that’s a plus. Free breakfast and minimal fee for parking, just wonderful! I will be staying here again in the near future.

The room that I stayed did not have a closet it only had a small rack which was sitting over the small refrigerator and a microwave so there was not enough room to hang clothes. I mentioned it to the front desk at the time of checking out and it looked like it was not important
