Great location, walking distance to Universal
I try to stay here when I am visiting my son in LA. The only complaints I have this trip was the rudeness of the receptionist. I usually have great service, but for some reason the receptionist rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe because I was tired after a 7 hour drive and my room wasn't ready. Housekeeping is alsays suberb on this trip as well as room service. The bell men and valet are always really helpful when I stay here. It's an easy walk to Universal Studios. The pool is amazing and the rooms are a nice size. I prefer staying here in comparison to the Hilton next door.

Property looks bit up. Capet all around dirty and gross. Rooms had scratched walls and damaged furniture. First room given to us had cigarette smell, second one had broken furniture and bit up walls.

The location is great. There was a distinct faint sewer smell as you entered the room that never went away (room was on 14th floor). It could have been the water, where tap water had a similar smell. The service is great, hands down! Restaurant was good, but pricey.

For the price of the room it was pretty bad, broken tiles in the rest room the light switch faceplates were adhered to the wall with clear silicone sealant and the wall panels above the bed show evidence of coming all the wall so they used drywall screws to keep it in place not to mention there was piss in the elevator that my partner accidentally stepped in just trying to get to our room.
