Don’t stay here
The hotel is located in a very bad part of town. It felt unsafe to step foot outside the property. Some of the staff were decent, others were rude. There is no microwave in a deceiving full kitchen. Very unfortunate. I would never stay at this place again.

These good reviews you see are so outdated. I booked this hotel because it had good ratings, but it was my worst hotel experience. Issue #1: the listing says “free offsite parking” and many reviews say there’s a free parking lot behind the hotel. Well, it’s not free. It’s $30/night and if you park there without paying, you risk having your car towed. Good luck finding street parking cus you won’t. I booked this hotel solely because i didn’t want to pay valet parking at other hotels. I ended up having to pay for parking every night anyways. Issue #2: One of the nights, I had no hot water (it was fixed), but i had to shower coldly. One of the other nights, all 3 elevators stopped working. We had to climb up 12 flights of stairs because we were on the 12th floor. When i reached out to them to ask if the elevator was fixed, they replied simply, “i believe so”. Issue #3: THE BIGGEST ISSUE - There is a rooftop bar right across the street from the hotel. AND THEY ARE LOUD. You can hear loud and clear, the music, the laughing, and chattering. The windows are not insulated so you can hear EVERYTHING. We could not sleep!! We were so shocked how we are on the 12th floor but we could hear them like they were next door. They gave us a “white noise machine” (plays background noise like rain) and earplugs, but it didn’t help. They refused to give me a refund for the remaining unused nights so we had to suffer for the next 3 sleepless nights.

We had a huge inconvenience due to an Elevator outage at the property & were made to climb 5 stories multiple times. All our baggages were stuck downstairs & we did not receive our clothes through the night, even though staff promised to bring them. Our guest members had to sleep in their dress clothes becoz the baggage were not brought to our room by the staff. Not a great experience & please try to provide us a refund. Thanks!

My stay at this property was great! The only downside was the street noise—which really can’t be helped with these old converted buildings. The property does their best to mitigate the noise and provides white noise machines and earplugs for each bed.

Good location but loud
The street noise was a problem, but the location was perfect for our stay. We had easy access to metro stops, groceries, and shopping. We were in town for a music festival and chose this hotel for the location and price. We were not given the room we booked due to a water leak, but the front desk staff helped us get a refund. The room was spacious and the kitchen was useful.

FALSE ADVERTISING
Though the hotel room (Airbnb style not a true hotel) are very nice and comfortable apartments, the customer service is absolutely terrible / nonexistent. The advertised amenities are not accurate in their description. WARNING THERE IS NO ONSITE PARKING AVAILABLE as advertised (FALSE ADVERTISING). In crime ridden DTLA this matters greatly. Desk clerk recommends parking next door in an unsecured paid lot ($25) resulting in broken-in vehicle. When I brought it to another clerks attention they told me I shouldn’t have parked there but the secured enclosed structure across the street ($35). Good to know after the fact. Of course no refund or any type of customer service gesture to apologize. Hotels.com is absolutely useless in assisting. Having platinum status means NOTHING. Canceling my hotels.com account and moving where customer service, accurate advertising and guest safety and security matter.

I usually do not share reviews for the hotels I stayed in. But this hotel was the best in terms of price and performance among the hotels I stayed in in America. We rented a newly built, spotlessly clean studio apartment for an affordable price per night. Everything was thought of for the person staying in the kitchen, bedroom, toilet, everywhere was clean and very nice. .If you come to Los Angeles, I highly recommend these studio apartments💯🔥✨🌟🌟

Loved it!
This was such a great stay and a perfect alternative to a traditional hotel. I was really impressed by customer service--I had a last minute request that someone from their team quickly/easily addressed via text while I was on my way there. The apartment was beautiful and very spacious. The lounge was great and I loved that drinks and extras were always available. Wifi was strong and reliable which made for efficient remote work. This location in particular is in a beautiful building and well located for downtown LA. However, if you're not familiar with DTLA, I would make sure it's a good fit for you before booking. It's not for everyone. We needed to be there and I used to live there so it was fine for us, but it may be jarring for those who aren't used to intense, urban environments. If you're very sensitive to noise, I recommend requesting a room that isn't facing the street. Overall, I highly recommend and I we will definitely be seeking out Sonder for future travels!
