A long overdue vacay after several rough months of "life" just "life-ing" . Really enjoyed this place and I'm super selective as it relates to all inclusive resorts. Staff was great. Food was awesome. Themed parties were the best. Everyone was so friendly - guests and staff. Already planning a return trip. The ONLY negative would be the experience booking excursions on site. Our representative was not very organized or skilled in booking. We sat for over 2 hours in the heat while he tried to figure out how to take our payment. At one point he blamed our credit cards as the issue only to discover he was not entering the information in correctly. We kept telling him nothing was wrong with our credit cards - we've been using them all day but he insisted it was us...smh....! FINALLY he called over a colleague who was able to process our payment in less than 2 minutes. We missed a well anticipated activity patiently waiting for this guy to figure it out which was disappointing to say the least. If we didn't want to do this excursion so bad, we would've walked away. Overall, you will enjoy this place.

It was very clean the bathrooms were impressively clean. Majority of staff were friendly and helpful and respectful. Only had 2 staff that were less than friendly but they might have been having a bad day. Food was some of the best for an all inclusive compared to others. House cleaners were very good at keeping things neat and felt safe. All the questions we had were answered promptly. This property was very impressive and we will most likely book at another RIU again because of our great experience. Thank you for making it a great getaway from a busy life of work!

We stayed at RIU Palace in Baja for a week and, unfortunately, the food was the most disappointing part of the experience. The buffet lacked variety, with the same dishes being repeated daily, and many were bland or overcooked and you could taste the recycled oil in most of their dishes . The advertised ‘gourmet dining’ didn’t live up to expectations; the steak restaurant, for example, served steak and seafood that was under-seasoned and showered in oil and butter . But the worst was the Asian Sofia restaurant, you couldn’t taste anything but salt and oil . There were very few or none options for vegetarians, and what was available seemed like an afterthought. This was especially frustrating as food was one of the main reasons we chose an all-inclusive resort. On the bright side, the service was great, but the food definitely needs improvement to match the resort’s promises. Definitely they need to revised and work on the food

Check in was horrible, the staff was unwelcoming and what ever you do, do not book any excursions with the staff on site complete liars!! I will never book at the RIU Cabo again the food sucks and I paid for the upgrade.

My first time visiting Mexico. I stayed ant the Riu Baja California, and I enjoyed every moment of it. Hotel was beautiful. Rooms very clean & friendly staff. Looking forward to going back

The servers were great! Very personable and helpful. As for the spa experience, I booked a couples massage on the beach for $311!!!! When it was time to pay the credit card machine was not working so I had to walk back to the spa are in the hotel instead of taking my card for me. Then I got double charged and had to go inquire about it and was told they would fix it and get back to me. Couple days later I did not hear anything and had to go back. What a waste of time and money. Ended up with better massages at the Sandbar for way less money. It was so good at the Sandbar that we went twice.
