Placed right in the energetic heart of Whiskey Row, our spot offers the ultimate urban experience for those eager to dive into the excitement of downtown Louisville. This isn't your typical quiet getaway—expect vibrant nights and lively days amidst the city's top bourbon spots and bustling streets. The Space:
Experience the unique architectural features of one of the city's flagship historic buildings. Natural light pours into the open kitchen and living area through 12' windows and soaring 30' ceilings. Renovations preserved the original exposed brick walls, wood molding, and salvaged beam stairways.

Whiskey Row Lofts is listed on the National Historic Registry for it's Italian Renaissance Revival architecture, featuring a beautiful limestone façade, Corinthian columns, and well preserved interior. Home of the original Galt House, hosting famous guests such as Charles Dickens and Civil War generals, the building burned down in 1865 and was rebuilt in 1877 as the headquarters of the L&N Railroad, which became one of the most successful regional railways of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Guest Access:
The apartment has a Yale smart lock keypad for self check-in with a code that is unique to your stay and expires after you check out for added security and peace of mind.

You'll use a digital callbox and keycard to access the building during your stay. At check-in, you'll enter the building using the call box before retrieving your key card from a lockbox inside.

All access codes are sent 15 minutes before your scheduled arrival time.

For loading/unloading luggage or other items, you can park your car in front of the entrance or in the nearby loading zone with flashers on. Please don't block the garage entrances!

There is paid street parking on 1st St, but the easiest option for longer periods is the Yum! Center parking garage under the overpass at the corner of W Washington and 2nd St -- it's $25 for overnight parking, but sometimes has surge pricing during events. Unfortunately, there isn't any free parking nearby, except at the street meters overnight and on Sundays.

Location is second to none, especially if you’re visiting for the Bourbon Trail or any event at the Yum center. Good size place. Only critique is for the cost, they could do little better with comfortable furniture, beds, perhaps some cool whiskey artwork on the walls. a bit like prison walls when you’re sitting in there. Great overall!

Great location but dont rent the 3rd room!!
We rented this property with 2 other couples and could not have picked a better location. Walking distance to 6 distilleries and to some amazing restaurants and bars. There was only 1 problem, the 3rd bedroom is a joke and might be good for little kids but i doubt it. The room had bunk beds which we were aware of but what we didn't know was the bottom bunk was just a mattress on the floor!! Also, there was a creepy hallway that lead to a door which also opened up into what basically looked like a dump/storage hallway. Also in that room was the furnace that was not enclosed in anyway and was loud as hell everytime it kicked on. And then there was the huge window that made you feel like you have no privacy. Wait, 1 more thing. There is no bathroom in that room or 1 that was easily accessible so we had to go into someone elses room in the middle of the night to go ti the bathroom, not cool. All 3 couples were over 60. Great place and location to stay for 2 couples just dont rent the 3rd room.

The only reason I rated the check in process as a 3 is that navigating the building security can be a slight hassle. But on the positive side, I felt very safe in the building & the security guards were very friendly. One of the key guards would also not let me in to the elevator area. All in all this is a very nice listing & would definitely stay again.
