Located right across the river from Louisville, with some unexpected nearby historical spots. Cool. Intended to stay one night and move in but Louisville (and Bourbon Trail) demanded more time, so, easy choice to stay here again.

Everything looked and smelled bad. The halls smelled like old pizza and the rooms smelled like cigarette smoke, even though it’s supposed to be smoke free. I will never book this hotel again and didn’t end up sleeping there because of how gross it was.

Negatives: Called ahead of time to check on the availability of an early check in, given the distance we drove to get there. We were assured we could check in, with a $50 early check in fee. We arrived 6 hours later and learned the auditor was new and due to their occupancy, there wasn’t availability to check in yet.. this was heavily disappointing. We finally checked in around 6 that night and thankfully had a K Wing 1st floor room. The room was spacious and the bed clean and neat. The floor hadn’t been vacuumed very well and it appears management spares every expense on amenities. Could not use the fridge and microwave at the same time.. we had to unplug one to use the other. Mysterious lamp next to couch with a plug being a ways from it? Floor was sticky. Sink drain did not drain. The hotel is quite aged, though that is no one’s fault. Positives: When we could finally check in, Chintra (spelling?) was so accommodating and efficient and polite. It eased my mind having her handle the reservation after our day of disappointment. The bed was surprisingly firm and comfortable. The surfaces were clean and the room smelled good. The multiple locking mechanisms on the sliding glass door made me feel safe regardless of the fact that it was in there and with a GORGEOUS view of the pond behind the property! Restaurant hostess was exceptionally accommodating, going out of her way to find us paperware and plasticware. The Housewoman was also so kind and wonderful to my young daughter.

The hotel was amazing and the staff was so kind. It was such a beautiful hotel. The pool was enormous and they didn’t have towels when we went down there because they were in the dryer as soon as they came out of the dryer they brought them down to us the pool was nice and warm. The view was gorgeous and I highly recommend if you go there to take a walk outside by the pond and especially to look outside around sunset it is so beautiful highly recommend

Have been waiting in a line for about 30 minutes just to check in and get our keys. Some people parked illegally outside, blocking the entrance. This place looks like party central. There is only one employee here! What is this????

The door to the outside was not locked ... anyone could walk in. The area that I was in looked rundown and a bit scarey as a single women traveling alone. Lobby looked very high end but once I went to my room my opinion changed. Felt like I was put in a section of motel that was for people who paid lower rates.

We reserve 2 rooms. Check in and there are no clean rooms. She gives us the “cleanest” room, it smells, it’s disgusting. Did not get a second room. I snore so my wife does not get any sleep which is why we get 2 rooms

The hotel and service was very nice but the hotel ice machine did not work and I had to go back to the front desk twice because I had no towels or rags in the room. I also had to ask for soap and other things that were supposed to be in the room
