LOCATION: Located in the country (but all paved roads) was perfect to unwind and relax. Houlton was a quick drive away for any groceries if wanting to cook for yourself. The view from the back of the home begged for a moose to come strolling out from the distant tree line or a perfect inspiration for painting/capturing the beauty of fall landscapes. The front of the house is a typical home but when viewing the sunrise in the morning, makes for an amazing show! Add a few clouds for the beams to bounce against and every color is represented. INSIDE: The house is warm, cozy, spacious, and gives the feeling of 'brand new' and very welcoming. Each room had the ability to regulate the heat and ceiling fans for those of us who like air movement. The kitchen had everything one would need to whip up a meal or slow cook a roast in the crockpot. A grill was available to enjoy teriyaki pheasant bites and cedar plank walleye one evening. There was a washer and dryer right off the kitchen. HOSTS: Tim and Amy were WONDERFUL! They were very responsive to messages, always friendly, receptive, and kind. We had a few unique requests (BTW - our requests were not related in any way to the lack of amenities at the home), and they respectfully listened and trusted us, which in today's world is risky. They are a great example of country kindness. "

"This is an old fashioned camp, but with the update of electricity and indoor plumbing. It maintains that rustic camp life feel with a little more comfort. I will note that this is a bring your own sheets and towels rental. "
