We went for a quick getaway, and are already planning a longer trip back with our kids. The staff were so helpful (we forgot all our toiletries) and the setting was gorgeous. It’s a lodge in a national park, not a luxury retreat in Aspen, so accommodations fit the setting, but all in all we were really happy. The only ding is that the mattress wasn’t *great* but we were fine.

This is a national park. Although the Skyland Lodge looked like a log cabin the amenities were perfect, king size bed, walk in shower, heat, and air conditioning..There was a restaurant close by as well well as A gift shop, and an electric charging station Which was convenient for charging ourTesla. The room as well as all the facilities were spotless. The scenery was breathtaking. I would highly recommend it..

Typical, old park hotel. Somewhat updated, could be cleaner but Nov. is the end of the season and some areas are in need of repair and attention. The bedding was firm and the pillows were terribly hard. The heaters worked and there was plenty of hot water. The location was outstanding as were the views, the large fireplaces were working and it was cozy. The restaurant and bar were dated, but the food was good and the service was great. Live music Thursday - Saturday night.

WE love shenandoah and have visited a number of times over the years. Although our room was huge, the lightning is the room was inadequate. We could not read the settings on the heater or coffee machine. The fan on the heater was noisey all night, No phone to call for service

The king room was horrible the paper thin mattress was sitting on a metal frame & had plastic mattress pad cover so every time you moved you felt like you were on an air mattress!! I’ve learned my lesson using a third party booking hotels always gives them the worst rooms they have !!

The property is very old. We were supposedly given the most premium room where the room had no phones to connect to the reception. The heater did not work and in-fact on a cold chilly night on a mountain the air conditioning was switched on making it impossible to sleep. We could no way change the temperature setting. No water in rooms. I would request partial refund for my stay
