Harbour View Inn on Mackinac Island exceeded all our expectations, offering an unforgettable stay filled with charm and beauty. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the inn’s picturesque setting and the lovely historic architecture. Our room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, adding to the relaxing atmosphere of the inn. The service was truly top-notch. The front desk staff were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was the seamless coordination with the ferry service for picking up and dropping off our luggage—everything was handled with such care and precision, which made our trip completely stress-free. If you’re looking for a combination of charm, excellent service, and beautiful surroundings on Mackinac Island, Harbour View Inn is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!

Great cottage room. Cute. Doesn’t have air conditioning. But in October we turned on the fans and we were comfortable. If at the heat of summer might not be. Away from the bustle but easy walk to the action of the island. Nice continental breakfast.

Beautiful property grounds. We stayed 3 nights at the Cottage House with a porch and a view of the lake. It’s definitely the room to have. The Cottage House is right beside the main house and serves a continental breakfast within its building which was something a little different each day. It was nice to set on our semi private porch while we were relaxing and people watch. The weather was perfect which was a great thing. The room we were in didn’t have AC, which wasn’t needed since it was Fall. They have bicycles for rent on site at a lower rate than the other renters. Great place to stay on the Island!!

As a place to sleep, Harbour View Inn was perfect -- my family is traveling through Michigan and the Deluxe Balcony room gave us some room to stretch, it was relatively quiet, and we all got the best night of sleep. They have a complimentary breakfast that was nice. However, my disappointment was that when you spend $500 on "the deluxe balcony" at the "Harbor View Inn," it was disappointing that the room is in the back house, and the view is of the back of the hotel. No fault of the hotel, that's what it is, and people who work there are nice. I just would've like that info when I was booking and deciding to pay extra money for what I thought was a room with a view.

While most of things were good, I must suggest an upgrade to a better HVAC. Also, a bit pricey for what they offer. $400 per night is a bit too much. But I guess that’s just the way the island is. Still, it was a pleasant stay overall
