Lovely bright condo with excellent proximity to Hospital 12 de Octubre
We chose this apartment for it's proximity to Hospital 12 de Octubre (5 minutes' drive) and it was a great choice for the two of us. We stayed 8 nights - twice as long as our original booking because of the quality of the accommodation. The building itself is newer, very clean and quiet in an area that appears to be full of mostly newer condo buildings. The apartment is bright, clean and well-outfitted with all the necessary appliances plus a dishwasher (bonus!). At the time of our stay, there was new building construction going on across the street so this was a bit noisy during work hours, but the exterior appears nearly completed as of Dec 2020.
The area around the apartment has plenty of green and blue zone parking; however, if you want free parking you need to park across the river (a 5 minute walk), outside the Centro. There is a foot bridge and river promenade about 3 minutes' walk, so this is an area that is good for walking and cycling. The metro is also very nearby.
Driving in is in busy downtown Madrid is a challenge so next time I would choose to meet the host at the condo itself. The staff are very polite, helpful and quick to respond to any questions via WhatsApp.
Overall, we would definitely recommend this condo for a 1-2 people looking for a short stay or business stay in Madrid South.
