We first stayed at Mutute 11 in 2018, in the studio they use for photo shoots. It was lovely, and we enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood was great and it was easy to walk everywere. This past August 2024, we decided to stay there again for nostalgia sake. What an incredible mistake! The one bedroom (not really a one bedroom- it had a partial wall separating from the livingroom) was dirty, old and in disrepair. The bathroom sink had a plastic hose attached that was most definitely not code- and it leaked. The kitchen appliances were old and frankly not appealing. And I kept finding long blond hairs....definitely not mine, as I have short brown hair and my husband has gray hair. The shutters were broken, the lamps didn't work, and on and on and on... But we still love the neighborhood! The restaurant right next door, Blackbird Rock Bar- with small intimate concerts- right around the corner, and the cafe at the corner. Only just an ABSOLUTE NO to ever staying at Matute 11 again; which makes me sad because I loved that first stay back in 2018. Perhaps they changed management/owners? Regardless, we, the guests who pay a decent price totally deserve better...

Great find in central Madrid
A nice find - close to Sol Square. Great character rooms - we had an unexpected upgrade. Good staff. Reception is only open until 5pm, so be aware of this if you are looking for somewhere that has 24/7 reception.

Fin vistelse i denna mysiga studio.
Fin och mysig studio mycket nära till allt! Skön säng och bra utrustat minikök. Lite lyhört från korridor och rum intill men vi hade fönster mot innegård så inga ljud utifrån. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal.
