Rooms are clean and have a modern look, but the hotel was under construction and it was a bit noisy. However, the biggest take away from my stay was that the hotel is a 4 star and truth be told, at best they are a good 3 star. The hotel lacked many amenities and I didn’t get the assistance that a 4 star hotel offers. For example, I had no help with my bags at any point. I would have appreciated that so much as I was traveling with children. Again, rooms were nice but the hotel overall was a bit lacking.

I was really looking forward to our starly however sadly we had a number of issues including no working air con in our room which meant we bad to sleep with balcony open which was no great for a busy city. Also asked for extra towels on more than on occassion whcih never arrived. Its a shame as the location was great and the bed comfy and a great shower but issues like AC and poor customer service impacted on my stay.

The hotel is in a good location and close to shops. The room we were given was in the basement which was not attractive. The room was clean but definitely would not consider going back. Maybe the rooms in the upper floors are more attractive. When we arrived there was no one at the reception although there was a hand written sign saying they’d be back. But after a 6 hour flight and 15 mins to a lunch appointment it’s not what I wanted to see.

Four Shot Recoletos was a wonderful find. It’s in a great location close to multiple public transport options. The rooms, though small, are lovely. The hotel walking distance from the Prado and the Thyssen art museums, as well as to the center of the city. I’d strongly recommend it to anyone traveling to Madrid. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

Close to Serrano and main areas. Safe area. Excellent location. They need to update some parts of the hotel that look old. Sometimes there's no one at the entrance counter. Staff very friendly though.
