The owner Hans is very helpful and welcoming. Their personal chef Ernesto cooked delicious meals and was very pleasant. The view of the vines from the room was so peaceful.

Nice place. Hans (the owner) is very engaging with guests. The room felt a little dated but being on a Vineyard is something nice and special. Good location to visit a couple of other vineyards, but a bit out of town if that is what you are looking for.

Hans was an attentive host and the property was definitely good value. The meals were adequate but nothing special. The patios and small pool area were lovely for relaxing outside the rooms and having bikes (to rent) on site was a bonus as we arrived without a car. Note there are few restaurants serving evening meals nearby although several excellent choices for substantial lunches.

The owner Hans was so helpful advising on activities & which wineries to visit. We felt at home meeting his other guests enjoying the multiple choice three course meals. His own wine & others are for sale in his cellar. The roomy bedroom was ideal with power shower. It’s set on 20+ hectares with a small working vineyard within easy reach of many others. We didn’t use the pool but in the hot summer would be popular. Highly recommended for personal service!

Amazing serene haven
Amazing little hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and the owner Hans is a great host, he was very helpful. Every night, one can eat at the Posada amazing meals cooked by their in house chef Ernesto for roughly 15USD per menu. The Posada rents bikes (with helmets) and is very conveniently located in Maipu. All in all, a great place - just go

Would stay again
This place is definitely off the beaten path, but quite lovely and comfortable. Includes continental breakfast. Our room was a bit noisy, not from people but from a machine in the room the turned on and off during the night, gas pump? and mattress was quite firm. Outside sitting areas are perfect for a glass of wine overlooking the vines. They have made every effort to have good wifi signal, but sometimes still weak inside the room.

Great farm setting. Hans and his staff can’t do enough for you. The facility is rustic, but clean. Good meals can be had for a reasonable price. Dining room encourages interaction with other guests. The Posada is further from Maipú than I expected, but Hans provides bicycles. Lots of wineries within bicycle range. Water pressure for showers was weak in our unit, but otherwise a great wine country experience. Thanks Hans for the wonderful service.

This place is an incredibly beautiful retreat in rural Mendoza. We went during low season, but the treatment was most excellent, the food was fantastic, and the wine farm is just lovely!

Charming Bed and Breakfast in Wine Country
Posada Cavieres was fantastic. Hans, the owner, was a great host who even went so far as to give us a ride into Mendoza to pick up our rental car. The area around the hotel provides easy access via bike, foot, or car to six different boutique wineries all offering affordable tastings and, in most cases, great food. My only recommendation would be to stock up on cash ahead of time, as the nearest ATM is in Maipu. Also, the WiFi can be a bit spotty, so plan accordingly.

Great place to spend some time in wine country.
This is essentially a farm with guest rooms, in a dedicated building with a nice and convivial reception area. Certainly wasn’t quite the glitzy urban boutique style hotel like you’ll find in the city, but to us it offered a more unique and fun experience. The owner is really personable and will chat with you about everything and anything. By far the friendliest innkeeper we came across on our trip. Come prepared with any questions you’ve ever wondered about wine production or the business in general. Because it’s a working farm with a few rooms there’s isn’t a receptionist twiddling their thumbs waiting for clients to come, but you can reach the owner on whatsapp if you need something. You may want to think ahead of what you will need so you can ask him when he’s around. The main thing to do around there is to visit wineries. You can hire bikes to do that. If that’s not an option for you I’m sure Hans the owner will figure something out for you. He will recommend places for you according to your tastes. We loved the Florio and Tempus Alba wineries. They have caterers come in and cook awesome dinners on site. The meal prices are intended to be low, but merely calling them “good value” would be an insult to the chef. Anyone can serve chicken with chips, but the delicious wine based sauce and glazed crispy skin took real craft. I’d challenge any Argentinian chef to do better for the price. We also loved for the lightly battered hake with chips, and the pork steaks!
