Casa Rural del Corral y Apartamentos for 10 people
The rural house Apartment is made in the traditional traditional architecture and with all the warmth of the villages of Extremadura, next to the Monfragüe National Park.
It is strategically situated in Malpartida de Plasencia, five minutes from Plasencia, 15 from the heart of Monfragüe, Villareal de San Carlos, the Jerte Valley and the area of Vera; 30 minutes from the Ambróz Valley, the Gata Mountain Range or the region of Las Hurdes and 45 minutes from the Mountains of Candelario.
It is very well linked by motorway, A-5, A-66 and EX-A1, only 2 hours from Madrid, 3 from Seville or Valladolid and 4 from Lisbon. Geographically, we are located between the rivers Tajo-Jerte and the mountains of Gredos-Las Villuercas. The magnificent scenery is there for you to discover and the mild temperatures will accompany you all year round. Extremadura is one of the regions with the most hours of sunlight in Europe.
The comfort and independence offered by our accommodations, combine perfectly with the traditional atmosphere thanks to the preservation, both of the habitat and its original materials: the slate slabs, the whitewashed walls, the rough wood, the brick tiles and its walls of rough stone. In order to recreate the warm, cosy and traditional atmosphere we have taken special care with the lighting and decoration, to the point that it is quite simple and soft, bringing out all our feelings.
With the name Corral we wanted to highlight the importance of this as an essential element of the self-sufficient home of our ancestors: cattle sheds, vegetable garden, cellar, chicken shed, etc. Around it, several old buildings were constructed and demolished, but the Corral or courtyard remained as the source of subsistence as it covered the primary needs of the rural families. Today the space has been transformed into gardens but it still offers an undoubtable quality of life.
Given that it is the same typology with a dividing wall construction, both the apartment and the rural house of the courtyard offer multiple opportunities to provide accommodation for family groups of up to 18 people, if we add the extra beds.
The recent introduction of a terrace with an open lounge and barbecue adds many possibilities for family get-togethers or romantic evenings. Also simply to relax, find time to read, study or creative inspiration, are all attributes which are considered by those who have come to visit us as the hallmarks of all these accommodations.
These installations have been carefully developed throughout the last five years and in the close future Lola and Avelino, the owners, aim to finalise their project by installing a salt water heated swimming pool in the last section of the courtyard as well as some complementary services.
