Property description

This annex is a self contained ground floor 1 bed flat within the larger Grade II listed cottage and is surrounded by unspoilt farmland and the beautiful idyllic countryside of rural Cheshire. There are 3 acres of stunning grounds. It is the perfect base for a single person or couples looking for a peaceful break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

We kindly request that our security, guests provide their home address and phone number for checking-in. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, (GDPR), this information will not retained after your departure.

The owners live in a separate property within the grounds and we like to think of ourselves as friendly and approachable if needed, we work hard to try and ensure everyone’s stay is as comfortable as possible. You will find a selection of pillows to choose from and a wide selection of toys and games for children within the property.
We press our own apple juice directly from our orchard, also home-made bread, preserves, cakes and fresh eggs are available on request (charges apply).
The extensive grounds includes a shallow stream, it is a lovely space to stretch your legs or relax. The immediate area is very popular with outdoor enthusiasts and one of Julia Bradbury’s top 100 walks, ‘the Sandstone Trail’ can be picked up in neighbouring Duckington.
Tilston village is small but just 1 mile down the road where you will find the Carden Arms pub serving great food, a quaint and handy village shop and a playground for kids.
Malpas is busier and is a 10-minute drive, so is the Carden Park hotel and country estate, which has a spa and a range of leisure facilities including two championship golf courses.
There are historic castles at Beeston, Peckforton and Cholmondeley, all easily accessible in around 20 minutes by car.
The historic walled city of Chester and Oulton Park motor racing circuit are approximately 30 minutes away.
The stunning Welsh mountains and beautiful Wirral peninsula can be reached in about 1 hour
