Cider Press - sleeps 2 guests in 1 bedroom
Situated in large gardens with parking directly behind it and overlooking fields is one of our most popular homes, Cider Press.
It is situated 100 yards from the A4103 (main Hereford/Worcester road) making it a perfect base to explore Herefordshire. It is a light airy cottage with an amazing outlook and views across the gardens and fields. The patio door lead onto its own terrace area with seating. It sits at the furthest end of the drive with easy access.
The bright and spacious living/dining room has a vaulted ceiling with original exposed beams and overlooks the gardens and has far reaching views of the valley.
The comfortable king bedroom has a large ensuite bathroom which has a corner bath with handheld shower and a wall mounted shower. It has lower-level light switches in all rooms.
The kitchen has a full-sized oven, hob, toaster and microwave. The fridge/freezer is undercounter and there are wider doors throughout. It is on one level making it suitable for wheelchair users or for guests who prefer not to use stairs. Parking is at the rear of the cottage.
Cider Press cottage works well with Old Hop Kiln for multigenerational holidays.
It is set in lovely gardens along with 6 other houses all with very different characters and decor.
PARKING - Tarmac parking is behind Cider Press Cottage.
General information about Whitewells Farm
Gardens - Guests have access to 3 different gardens all with seating areas along with BBQs and firepits, ample free parking along with free WiFi.
WiFi - All cottages have free 'Faster broadband' WiFi and login codes are provided on arrival.
We have been active in the implementation and maintenance of systems/practices that reduce our carbon footprint. We do operate a general/recycling option for household waste. We also operate a treatment plant that treats wastewater on site for our properties that aren't connected to the main sewer system and our biomass heating system offers unlimited heating using locally manufactured wood pellets (from local woodland) ensuring your cottage is as warm and comfortable as can be.
There are 2 local pubs. 1 is 1/2 mile away towards Worcester and the other is 3/4 mile towards Hereford. There are no pavements or walking paths to either of these pubs but are easily accessible by car.
Cradley has a really well stocked local shop/off licence.
Location
Cradley is perfectly positioned within East Herefordshire to allow access to both Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Monmouthshire.
At Whitewells Farm we are centrally placed to visit Ledbury, Malvern, Hereford and Bromyard all within 20 minutes drive.
Ledbury - lovely market town with some fabulous cafes, medieval buildings, beautiful Georgian establishments and a wonderful array of independent shops.
Malvern - known throughout the UK for it's splendid Victorian and Georgian architecture all set in a town on a hillside with the most amazing views. It's probably most well known for the Malvern Hills, a group of walks across Herefordshire and Worcestershire which are accessible from numerous entry points suiting different abilities.
Bromyard - A small town/large village with everything you would need for a stay in Herefordshire. It has local shops and lots of tudor building and a quaintness lacking in so many small towns - you do feel that you have been transported back 50 years (or further).
Abergavenny - known for holding one of the most popular food shows in the country and Monmouth a small market town - both of these welsh market towns well worth a visit and are within 50minute drive. Afternoon tea at the Angel Hotel is a wonderful experience.
One of the most well known places in Malvern is the Three Counties showground which holds three very popular shows appealing to all members of the family,
The Spring Garden Show, The Autumn Show and the Three Counties show which is nationally known and well attended farming show.
There are also numerous antique fairs and flea markets held at the Three Counties Showground.
Hereford Cathedral is famed worldwide for the Mappa Mundi. It is the largest surviving map of its kind, dating from about 1200's and is an encyclopaedia of life in the 13th century illustrated on a single calfskin.
The Cathedral also houses the largest chained library in the world.
