Great Stay!
We had a lovely few days in the hotel. The breakfast is delicious - so lovely to have it brought to you - and we had some excellent dinners in the pub area.

Excellent and comfortable outstanding breakfast and service. Tiny bit disappointed when missed dinner by milliseconds on 8pm deadline; bit of flexibility would be rewarding for both hotel and client.

When I saw it was only 2 star I thought no way but after reading the reviews I thought it sounds pretty good and I wasn’t disappointed. It was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable, en-suite was great and had everything we needed to make a great stay with a great breakfast to boot. Staff were also very good 😊

It's lovely to stay at an independent hotel rather than one of the chains, and this hotel retains the age and character of it's surroundings. Our room was large and comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. From the quirky staircases to the charasmatic manager, this was a joy to stay in. Breakfast was outstanding, definately not the greasy help yourself job that is so common now. Parking is a little challenging, especially if your car is on the longer side, but that just reflects the nature of the town, and we were able to park a short distance away for a small fee. Would definitely come here again!

Comfortable hotel in central location. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Good food (home made venison, juniper and Merlot pie is well worth a try!) and the breakfasts are brilliant. We were given an upgrade to a suite but we’d highly recommend it anyway. Good quality bed linen and towels.
